What are your go-to appetizers for Christmas?

We are having:

Wanton wrappers with Prescuto and cheese
Shrimp wrapped in bacon
Tomato Tartlets
New Potatoes stuffed with a cheezy shrimp mixture
Ham & Cheese spirals
Filo Cups stuffed with a cream cheese and avacado dip
Crachers w/ arugula, roast beef and a blue cheese spread that I make

Once a week we do just appetizers for dinner, it's a lot of work but so much fun on game night.,

Those bacon and brown sugar smokies seem to be turning up frequently on people's menus. I would like to try those this year and have a quick question...how do keep the brown sugar from falling off during baking?

I'm doing them for the first time, too. Check out the recipe and reviews on Allrecipes.

Bacon and brown sugar smokies are easy! You get smokies (I've used the turkey kind and they work fine too) and drain the package. Open a pound of bacon and cut the strips in 1/3rds. Dredge the bacon in brown sugar, wrap the bacon coated with brown sugar around the little smokie and put a toothpick through it. Toss it in a 9 x 13 pan. Try to keep it to a single layer (which may mean you have to get out a 2nd pan -- I usually do). When you've coated and wrapped all of them, take any extra brown sugar and just toss it on top of the pan and bake at 350 until it's all bubbly and looks done -- about 30 to 40 minutes I think.

Take them out of the pan with tongs and toss them into a crock pot to keep them warm.

Very easy to do!

This might sound wierd but I love it. Pineapple cheese ball ~ 2 soft cream cheese , drained can of crushed pineapple , 1/2 diced red bell pepper, diced small onion ( I sometimes use scallions), couple dashes hot sauce , Mix all ingedients together. Refrig a few hours. Form into ball. Optional cover with chopped nuts. I usually skip the nuts. I also sometimes don't form a ball and just place in nice serving bowl. Serve w/favorite cracker

For those who requested the BBQ Chicken Ranch Dip recipe:

In a 2 quart casserol dish combine:

14-16 oz jar of ranch dressing (I use Marzetti)
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup shredded chedder cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzerella cheese
1/2 cup shredded colby/montery jack cheese
1/4 cup bbq sauce ( I use Sweet Baby's Ray Honey BBQ sauce)
12-14 oz diced, cooked grilled chicken (I use the pre-packeged Purdue grilled chicken strips and break into smaller pieces)

Stir all ingredients together and cover dish with foil. Bake in a 350 oven for 10 minutes. Remove and stir all ingredients until smooth. Sprinkle the top with more shredded chedder cheese and drizzle with more bbq sauce. Cook for another 10 minutes or until all cheese is melted.

Serve with tortilla chips ( I use the scoops) or Pita Chips

This can also be made in a crockpot. Keep on high until cheese is all melted- stiring every once in awhile and then turn to low to keep the dip warm and gooey.
