I'm hoping that those of you that have braved FP+ will share tips that worked for you.

We were there last week, and while I am by no means a FP+ expert, this is what we did:

1. Book as many FP+ online beforehand as possible.
2. In cases where both attractions we wanted were in the same tier (I hate that system, by the way), we chose the FP for the one that did NOT have a single rider line. For example, both Rock n Rolllercoaster and Toy Story Mania are in the same tier for HS, but RnR has a single rider line, TSM does not. So we had FP+ for TSM and did single rider line for RnR.
3. Bring your smartphone with you in the park. You can check wait times and adjust your FP+ if needed.

That's all I can think of for now. Good luck!

I always love firsthand information. Thanks!

DH and I were there in Dec. What we did was schedule our FP+ for later in the day and got to the parks before rope drop and rode the bigger rides and then went back later to ride them again with our FP+. We always do rope drop anyway.

Also if we had made a FP+ for a ride and the regular line was short we rode stand by and changed the FP+ to something else.

I would also recommend taking a photo with your cellphone camera of your FP+ Reservations before you leave home if you prebook. That way you can check your reservation times while not being held whim to signal strength or MDE not loading things correctly.

I highly recommend being there at rope drop. Ride the popular attractions via standby lines at the very beginning, do less popular rides after that, then use your FP+'s later in the day when lines are longer. That's basically the philosophy we used (just returned yesterday from 5 days in the parks) and we rode a TON of rides, in fact we only stood in line for more than 25 minutes twice in those 5 days.

And don't be afraid to change your FP+ selections on the fly. We had FP+ for Haunted Mansion Tuesday and the line was only 10 minutes so we rode it via standby and changed our FP+ on the app to Buzz Lightyear which had a 35 minute wait.

That's a great idea to take a pic of your ressies. Thanks!

I don't know if I have any words of wisdom - we tried it out in November and felt that for some reason the timing didn't work well for us. Couldn't really put our finger on it - we're park hoppers so I arranged the FP for the afternoon park.

Fast forward to January - made all the FP arrangements very carefully - planning on a "more" busy or morning EMH park in the morning and then hopping to a "less busy" or really recommended park (for lower crowds) for the afternoon and arranged FP for the afternoon. Sounds great right - arrive at RD ride / see as much as possible then park hop and have lower crowds and FP+.....

been here one day - here I sit redoing most of our schedule ROFL

For us DHS is not an afternoon park - we tried it again today (tried it in Nov too) and waiting around for the FP windows to open (tried to change 2 to earlier times no earlier times available) wasn't great even with other things to 'fill in'.

So now we're doing DHS 4 mornings (9 day trip) then we'll park hop to somewhere else. Leaving my MK arrangements since those seem to be 'spot on' for afternoons and reworking a fair amount. Kind of fun and challenging. I'm glad we figured out what doesn't work for us - it was bugging me.

Good luck - all will be well!
