I'm so glad someone with an Ariel posted. I thought of spelling it Arielle but thought how fun it would be to go to Disney and see everything with her name on it. I still love this name.

You could always use it as one of her middle names. Are you going to use her birth name as a middle name?

ETA: Oops, I read later you're using a family name. I gave my DD's 3 middle names: birth name, family name and a name of my choice.

I have Kali (Kayleigh) Elizabeth & Hannah Alexander. If my son was a girl, he would have been Emily and not sure of a middle name. I really like the name Lane.

Well if this baby had turned out to be a girl her name would have been Julia Claire most likely. Julia was a for sure and claire was a strong possibility. I thought it was so pretty and I loved the idea of being able to call her Jules and Julie! So cute!!

We must think alike, my 6 month old daughters name is Savannah Arielle.
Isabella was a top choice of mine, I thought bella would be a cute nickname or even izzy but its a very popular name these past couple years and the DH didn't care for it much either. Both Arielle and Isabella were extra special to me because they both have a bit of a disney reference (Ariel and Belle).

I also like the different spelling of Ariel... the original spelling is so like my name and when I was young I used to get called Ariel.

If you add a U between the A and the R.. you get Auriel... pronouced with Oar instead of Air.. ending exactly the same as Ariel.

It is French and the closest meaning I've been able to find is angelic and golden.



ETA... My eldest sons name is JADYN.. I see you are Jaden.
