DH and I are eating at Kona for lunch for the first time ever this September. Actually we have breakfast ressies twice too (since we're staying at the Poly), but I know exactly what I'm getting for BF!! Tonga Toast and Macademia pancakes! Woohoo!! :cool1:

I know everyone raves about Kona and says how great it is, so what are your favorite dishes? Appetizers, entrees, and desserts please!!

The bread, the wings and the teriyaki steak....YUMMO

For dinner I like the coconut almond chicken. The tough one is breakfast, having to decide between Tonga Toast and the Macadamia Pinneapple Pancakes.

I thought my Mom's pomegranate glazed pork chop at dinner was outstanding, better than the steak I ordered. But the prime rib and teriyaki steak were both very good! (Can you tell my family likes to taste each other's food? :rotfl2: )

Lunch Appy - Crabcakes
Lunch Entree - Asian Noodle Bowl
Dinner Appy - Crabcakes (again)
Dinner Entree - Pomegranate Pork Chop

I'm very interested in this too as I will be having lunch at Kona in Sept.
But so far none of the recommended entrees are on the lunch menu they're all dinner items. Anyone been for lunch?

Sorry...all I have is more dinner recommendations :goodvibes

I thought that Kona had some great appetizers. The pot stickers (duck dumplings) and the sticky wings were delicious.

We have eaten at Kona multiple times but in February I had one of my favorite dishes there. :cool1: Pomegranate Barbecued Pork Chop served on pan-roasted fingerling potatoes and applewood smoked bacon braised Swiss chard. I substituted mashed potatoes instead. This pork chop melted in your mouth and was huge. I will have a hard time ordering anything else now from Kona.

I love the shrimp and scallops. I'm a big fan of scallops, and these are the best I've ever had.

Also love the Kona chowder and the sticky wings.
