While making up our top 5 things to do - and luckily since many of them are the same, that doesn't end up being 20 different things to do, we also do up are 'couldn't care less list'. Meaning we don't even bother to check out ride times for these attractions.

Does anyone else do this? Somehow the idea of eliminating some attractions just make the entire planning process less daunting not that the attractions we list here generally gather long lines.

Some of ours are:

-- anything at all in Bugs Land
-- Jungle Cruise
-- Autopia
-- Finding Nemo
-- Mickey's Fun Wheel
-- IASW for my DH and DS - my DD loves it though.

I don't have that many attractions at DLR that I would classify as "couldn't care less" about, but there are some attractions that I don't check wait times because I can't/won't ride them because I'll get motion sick. These include Mad Tea Cups, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Mickey Fun Wheel, Star Tours (sigh...and I like this one!), and Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin.

My DH cannot do the tea cups or Star Tours - and he really liked Star Tours when he did try it - no fun to walk around feeling sick to your stomach though afterwards unfortunately...

In DCA, mine are:
TOT
Fun Wheel
Everything on the west edge of the lake (Golden Zephyr, Jellyfish, Swings)
Bug's Land, in totality
Mad T Party

At DL:
Jungle Cruise
Tiki Room

I don't know that I ever need to do the subs again, either.

I can totally sympathize with him! My friends loved it and went for a second ride and I used that time to sit down, breathe deeply, and drink a Sprite to try and settle my stomach. That was the last time I rode Star Tours (just after they introduced the 3D elements). I was okay with the original version, but when they added the 3D, that was a little to much for me!

The Astro Orbiter is a ride we've never been on, we always skip it. If Autopia is too long we skip that all together too. We may skip Mr. Toad based on the line too.

PETER PAN - finally stood in line for the thing and my god, I couldn't believe that people waited for it.

Mickey's Wheel of Vomit

Chip and Dale Treehouse, Donald's boat and Tarzan's area.

Other than that I would say the only one we are skipping for a while is splash mountain because for some reason the kids hate getting wet.

DL:

Splash Mountain - don't like the song too much LOL
Astro Orbitor
Finding Nemo
Haunted Mansion
Matterhorn - too bumpy

DCA:

Bug's Land rides
Mickey's Fun Wheel
Monsters, Inc.

I've never ever been on Tom Sawyer's Island, or have done the canoes or that raft thing. I walk by the Matterhorn. I could skip It's a Small World and not feel bad about it. I don't go into the Tree house because I'm already doing enough exercise.... I'm terrified of heights, so I don't go on that Death Wheel. I haven't done that Silver bullet looking thing or the Symphony Swings at DCA.

It's Tough to be a Bug! My kids freaked out at the end and they were not alone. There were several other crying children when we left.
Swinging cars of Mickey's wheel of death.
Autotopia
Nemo Subs
Canoes

The things we skip are:

Astro Orbiter
Casey Jr train - usually because the line is long whenever we get around to considering it
Peter Pan - we only do this ride once in awhile because it's a long wait for a 3 min attraction
California Screamin'
DH skips ALL the roller coasters
Silly Symphony Swings
Golden Zephyr
Jumping Jellyfish
Goofy's Sky School - too herky jerky
Mickey's Fun Wheel of Death

In fact, aside from Toy Story Midway Mania, we really don't like any of the Paradise Pier attractions.

Hmmm we are not 100% in consensus at our house but...
  1. Tea cups make DD1 really sick
  2. Likely Casey Jr. If line is too long
  3. likely same for Dumbo (might ride once in five days)
  4. DD2 is ot a fan of IASW , but we likely make her suffer
  5. Kids are not fans of Peter but I am so we will ride at least once
  6. I usually skip Matterhorn, I like the ride but the jerking makes my head hurt
  7. None of us like Ghost Galaxy... Love Space though so we are curious about Hyperspace
  8. Astro Orbiter
  9. Golden Zephyr
  10. Jumping Jellyfish (except maybe for DD2)
  11. we have out grown most of Toontown and Bugs Land
  12. Ariel we would likely only ride once if at all
  13. King Tritan's Carousel not sure why but likely because the kids just ride screamin' over and over

We didn't get to too many rides, but now that we've done them once, I can't see a repeat on:
Snow White
Pinnochio
ISAW
Matterhorn
Space Mountain (the Ghost Galaxy overlay at least)
Autopia
Nemo Subs

Jellyfish at DCA
Ariel (for me at least)
Bugs Land - all of it (again, the kids might want to, but I'm done)

Rides that hold zero interest for me:
Dumbo (but I'll try it once at least)
TOT (but DD2 is aching to go on it)
Screamin' (ditto)
Orbiter

They are not rides, but we never do Fantasmic or World of Color. Once was enough for both.
My personal least favorite ride is IASW, simply because it's the same thing over and over.

Somehow I've never been on the Astro Orbiter. Interesting that a few of you have it on your 'miss' list. Can I ask why? I figured it would be much like the Dumbo ride. Correct or not?

Rides that I would skip:
Astro Orbiter, Golden Zephyr, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Casey Jr Circus Train (Don't like small spaces), Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage (Small spaces), Autopia, Jungle Cruise (I didn't really enjoy it the first time), The children rides in A Bug's Land ( It's not my thing, I like the show though), Monsters Inc. Ride (Kind of boring), and Toy Story Midway Mania. Those are the rides I could skip. There are still some I have yet to check out. :dogdance:

Astro orbiters- we rode once and that was enough- it leans to one side and had my son leaning on my leg and then it was awkward to get out from.

We would skip Matterhorn. It was jerky and none of us wanted to get back in line for it.

PETER PAN - finally stood in line for the thing and my god, I couldn't believe that people waited for it.
.
My clearest memory from the one childhood visit I had, and the ride I would go on every visit-if it wasn't for the wait. FYI.

I'm so glad I read this!! I get motion sick and didn't realize so many are at DL. I already know not to ride Star Tours and Mad Tea Cups.

Am I the only one who takes Bonine do I can ride rides without getting sick?

We skip the ones that aren't worth the time in line (gadget go coaster, astro orbiter, etc). I don't do ToT because I don't like it. Matterhorn and Splash I'll do once, but that's it. Most of bugs land is out as well. It's a shame because the theming is incredible, but the rides aren't great.
