I drive in Boston, so I have A LOT.
First, on the Leverett Down Ramp.....it goes from 2 lanes to 1 lane. People, it's not rocket science. The goal is NOT to get down without letting anyone merge, the goal is to keep moving. So, you let someone merge, then you go, then someone merges behind you, and the person behind you goes. It's not a contest to see who can run block.
Second....again with the Leverett Down Ramp....the LEFT LANE goes to Storrow Drive. That's what the big sign means when it says, "Storrow Drive - Left Lane". The sign does NOT mean "Fly Down The Right Lane and Cut Over At The Last Minute Causing Everyone To Slam On Their Brakes." You are not super important. Yeah, the left lane is moving slower because it's difficult to navigate Storrow Drive at the entrance. If you want to go to Storrow Drive, you wait like the rest of us in the left lane.
Third.....making a left turn from the center lane (this is for YOU....yeah YOU -Arlington Street onto Stuart Street). Loser, I'm in the left lane making a left. If you also wanted to make a left, you should have gotten into the left lane. You can give me the finger all you want, but I wasn't backing off and letting you in front of me. S-O-R-R-Y. Oh, and no, your Navigator didn't intimidate me.
Pedestrians. I think they all have a death wish in Boston. I'm amazed at the sheer number of people who would rather be dead than be cold/wet/late.
I get laughs every day though. How far down the carpool lane does someone have to be before they realize they're in the carpool lane? It's hysterical to watch them try to hop the curb or even back out.

I don't see how the carpool lane is a benefit. I can't count the number of times I've been driving and seen the carpool lane at a dead stop because someone broke down or there was an accident. That's it....y'all are trapped in there.
I've seen it all.....I've had a verbal altercation with a congressman from MA up by Beacon Hill. I've had someone hit me in traffic - no damage to my car, but his Audi was banged up - and had to call the cops because he freaked out and blamed me (I wasn't even moving....). I've nearly been killed by someone driving a Ryder truck - he swerved and went perpendicular to me. I barely stopped in time. I've seen people having fits in traffic - nothing like watching the dude behind you screaming and slamming his head off the steering wheel. I could read his lips....he was yelling, "MOVE! MOVE!"
Just another day driving in the city.....
