Please list your best parade spots....down to the very brick or pavement line you stand/sit on.

Parade of Stars MGM:

Jammin Jungle Parade AK:

SpectroMagic MK: Ours is right before the bridge on the left side of the castle. The curb corner is where we sit. They pause there to fix lights, makeup, and general maint. So if they have some 2-4 minute repairs, well, then you get some serious character attention ::yes::

For spectro I like to sit right in front of the main st. barber shop, right near the door where the floats come out.

For Spectro I enjoy sitting on the train station balcony. And if you get there earlier enough, you can get a very good spot. And seeing the castle and the lights down Main street and watching the parade line of colors is just too awesome! :flower:

Another vote for the train station balcony - love it! But if often demands a lot of extra planning because lots of folks are there! :grouphug: Also, we like one of the benches near City Hall - one unobstructed by trees, of course! In a pinch, we use the steps.

Great tips ya'll.

I need some spots for the Jammin and the Stars too :rolleyes1

Come on.....let the secrets out :magnify:

If I told you, then you would know my super secret spots! LOL!

Seriosuly for Spectro,

I like to sit in Liberty Square right across from the Liberty Tree. It is a nice quiet spot. Yes it gets crowded there, but never insanly so. The CMs who work that area are usually from the HM & stuff. They are a lot of fun to "play with". :cool1:

we like to watch the MGM parade by the Hat - as you walk towards it from the front of the park - there is area it passes by that is not a curb and you feel like you are sitting in the middle of the street there - we got there about 15 minutes early on our last trip and no one had started sitting down yet - once we did it started to fill up - but people were coming up until the last minute and still getting a pretty good spot - just ask a CM standing there were you can sit

we like the cornerof main street for Spectromagic in front of the emporium -

for the share a dreams parade - we like to sit in frontierland

and for jammin - we sat right in front of of the Pizzafari - this was a great place and only one person deep can sit there so we didn't have anyone crowding us and my kids got great one on one interaction with the characters

a lot of people reccomend harambe b/c the parade comes through there twice

julia and nicks mom,

YOU ROCK!!!!!!

Thanks for posting some additional great info

Spectro....right in front of the shooting gallery in Fronterland

I love this thread and plan on using these tips.

I was told in another thread to sit in front of Sounds Dangerous on the bench for the Stars and Motor Cars parade.

Any spots that wouldn't take a lot of pre-planning? We have 3 kids 5 and under and I don't think they'd sit a long time in order to stake out our spot. Any spots that we could find at the last minute? I'm sure this is an unlikely request, but I thought I'd ask anyway! ;)

We also go in front of the shooting gallery for the afternoon parade at MK

I have heard that right by Indiana Jones is good at MGM because it goes by there twice, but have never experienced it.

I couldn't tell you for AK, we were so jammed in, in our spot, I wouldn't recommend it...of course this was before the dis ;)

AK - In Asia, right before the bridge crossing over to Discovery Island. Facing the bridge on the right hand side there's a little spot, it's just the right size...no one can try to get in front of you as it's only big enough for a couple people to sit or stand next to each other. The characters coming over the bridge usually stop right there and I get great pics of them with the kids. :)

MGM...on the benches (under the shade trees) across from Radio Disney.

MK -- pick a spot on one of the 'porches' in Frontierland. :)

The parade does not pass by Indiana Jones twice - it exits near the front of the park -

okay now that I have composed myself - there are some spots you can get to that don't fill up as quickly - at MGM - see my last post

in the MK - there is a lot of space in frontierland you can go to pretty close to the start of the parade - most people try to sit on Main Street so you should really avoid there

with all that said - my kids who are WILD - love to sit and wait for the parade - there are so many people to talk to and there are cast members playing games in the street -Julia thinks it is a great opportunity to dance in the street for a captive audience. at 3:00 they are usually pretty tired so they enjoy the break (I also should say that I have probably the only 2 kids who don't need breaks in the afternoon and can go from park opening to park closing - they sleep wherever whenever - and have never had a meltdown)

if you are anywhere about 30 minutes before the parade starts you should be able to get a pretty decent spot and your odds decrease as you get closer -

also please keep in mind I have never been to WDW in what is considered peak season - my kids aren't in school so we go in October

We watched Jammin Jungle just before the enterance to Africa, there was a souviner shop and restrooms, we were across from those on the other side. It wasn't crowded and there were nice trees for shade.

Another good spot I like for Jammin Jungle is at the enterance of the Safari ride.

For Spectro we sat just over the bridge into Liberty Square in front of the snack and waffle shop. We sat by the rope, but you can also sit at the tables there and see the parade coming over the bridge. Great spot! Then after the parade we just turned around and took the path to Fantasyland and didn't have to fight major crowds.

MGM Parade. Between the entrance for Indiana Jones and Star tours on the road there are some benches that back up to some greenery. We sat there last April and had lots of great charachter interaction. In fact the two Gabby Stars in Cars Women stop there and do some qestions and songs.
