iI am over the moon as snail mail to europe meant very often we received no confirmation before arrival in Orlando.:woohoo:

I like it. Never had the problem of not receiving the confirmation, but took a long time to arrive. (Also in Europe.)

I prefer the e-mail system. While it has taken up to 2 days to actually receive the e-mail (right after the system upgrade - nowit typically takes an hour or 2), it is still much faster than the weeks it took to get the letter in the mail.

Add me to the list of members who like receiving email confirmations. We just booked our trip for October 2011 and we received the confirmation email about an hour after we got off the phone from talking to MS.

I also like the fact that a single confirmation email covers the entire stay even if split stays are involved, and even if different guests are staying on different days. In June 2011 we have a family gathering that includes my sister's family. The email confirmation shows all 6 of us staying at AKV in a 2-bedroom for 5 days, and then its shows that my wife and I move to a studio at VWL for the last 4 days.

By the way, the CM at MS gave us a choice of receiving the confirmation by email or by regular mail. So if anyone prefers to receive a paper copy in the mail, we still have that choice.

Its great if the CM remembers to send it. Will have to call MS since I still haven't gotten mine from my Sunday morning call.:confused3

Love e-mail, then I can save it in my e-mail like I do all other travel arrangements and right before the trip I print everything out. This solves the problem of misplacing even more paper work!

Love it! We had an issue getting our 1 bedroom changed to a 2 bedroom when they upgraded the system. It took almost 2 weeks for IT to make things work with my account.

Even though MS said the room was on hold for me, I stressed until it was actually booked. It was so nice getting the confirmation within minutes after the CM got it to work!

I had this problem too. I booked a room @ BLT for February. We are traveling with another family, and they got the email confirmation, but I never did. Even after calling a few times asking for a copy, I gave up and my friend just forwarded her copy to me. Not a big deal, I know they are still getting used to this too!:goodvibes

Love it! I got mine within the hour of making the reservation.

It's hard to believe that in the age of computers and electronic transfer of information, that it took them until 2010 to figure out how to send email confirmations.
That doesn't bode well for the likely hood that they will ever be able to have a workable on-line booking system. Email should have been simple, on line booking is far more complicated. Just think about some of the posts here in recent years and complexity of some of the reservations members try to make. MS can't handle some of them correctly even having a one on one conversation with the member, how do you explain what you are trying to do to a computer.

IMHO it will be a total disaster. MS will be spending most of their time correcting reservations that the on line system fouled up or couldn't handle. I wish they would just scrap the whole idea.

Well, I guess all I can say is "It's about time!"

I have been asking MS about email confirmations for about 5 yrs now. Everytime they mention that they will send out confirmations, I have always asked if emailing is an option yet. Wow. That was a long time coming.

Anyways, I'm glad it's here. It definitely helps them "go green".

Now, what about the Planners? - I wish they offered the choice to opt-out of getting it.

I like it! The funny thing is I actually forgot this was one of the enhancements to the new system. So when I made my 2011 reservation last week I was so surprised to see it in my Inbox! Love the format! :thumbsup2

I'm a fan of the e-mail reservation confirmation as well as the ADR e-mail confirmations. Now I can simply create a folder for a particular trip and save all of my confirmation letters in one place.

Finally, we receive confirmations in a timely manner. They used to take so long to Canada, thay they might as well have been sent by pony express.
