I am scared of falling and really BIG spiders.

What are your fears???

I have a bad fear of knives. I am also scared of dying in my sleep and my children are the only other ones home.

Ok here we go lol

Driving, Tornadoes/Storms, Snakes, Fire, new situations, being alone in the house at night, and many other fears I can't think of right now

driving up a metal bridge/suspension bridge or any bridge that's not level but sloped.

The worst one is the bridge to Niagara Falls when you're driving I-90 eastbound. That gives me the shakes!

My name is Angela and I am afraid of the dark. There, I said it. ;)
I was never afraid of the dark, but then one day DH left for a TDY and I watched some scary movies at night. We had just moved here and I didn't know anyone and the house made these horrible noises and all of a sudden I thought, "Did I lock the doors downstairs?" Then the thought of, "The ideas for all these creepy movies must come from somewhere and what if some mass murdering monster really existed?!" Sad to say, but I am now scared of the dark and when DH is gone I let my kids sleep in my room.

I forgot to mention bees - I have a real issue with bees!!!!!

When I was little, I was bit by a rat and I had to go through all that prep for possible rabies. As an adult, I can't even stand to see a mouse on the tv. I saw those white rats (briefly because I turned around right away) in a pet store a few years ago and I had nightmares for weeks! It's worse than that though, I hate any animal, including rabbits that are part of the rodent family.

ROTFL Pin Wizard!

emmagata, you be jonesin' for the debate board? Hallucinating are ya? Totally understandable, you were hooked.

Those withdrawal symptoms can be quite traumatic but with time the little flying faeries, the little bouncing pink :Pinkbounc things will stop and you'll be ok.

I'm sure there's :bounce: NOTHING to worry about.

Did you see THAT? :wave2:

In the Phobia category we have

1. Flying and airplanes
2. The movie Halloween
3. Heights
4. Spiders

In the just plain Scared category is

1. Something bad happening to my children or husband
2. Something bad happening to anyone else in my family
3. Death in any way , shape or form.

Bees
Planes falling out of the sky
dying alone and young,
and my biggest fear,
benji's tumor coming back.

People who hate frighten me, just look at the world today. And I'm afraid of changing fluorescent light bulbs.

I am scared to death of bridges and frogs. Not necessarily in that order! :teeth:

I am afraid of being lost while alone. It has happened to me a few times and it is really scary. SO on that note, I am afraid of losing my kids too. Those stories people on this board tell about losing their kids in Disney..oh yeah, I am crying over them.

And I am scared of my mom dying. I know it is going to happen, but she is only 50...so hopefully it wont happen for a long time. But I always think "what if....." So I always think what if I wasnt around for my kids...and that freaks me out too.

I assume you mean the Grand Island bridge..there are 2, one on each side of the island. Bridges over water give me the creeps...so when I go over those bridges I make sure I am in the lane that is next to the sidewalk. The other lane if you look out the car window all you see is the river. Don't even get me started on the Peach Bridge! I have been stuck in traffic while on it and get so panic stricken.

There is also a bridge that goes over the Hudson River in Newburg, NY when you travel 84 going to CT...Boy do I hate that bridge!

Oh, and elevators. I forgot to mention elevators. Elevators freak me out.

I am afraid of the dark. Yes, REALLY afraid of the dark. Heart pounding, sweating, can't breath, passing out....afraid of the dark!

Dh installed motion sensor light switches in our house because I will not walk into a dark room OR turn the light off behind me. I just have to wave my hand into the room and the lights go on and when i leave they are set to stay on for 2 min.

Oh, I am also afraid of bridges. Now don't laugh but I used to keep life jackets in the car for the kids........just in case. I couldnt imagine having to try to save the 3 of them if the car went into the water. Picture this: They couldn't swim so which one do I bring up first....how could she stay afloat while I went to get #2? and then #3.....My throat is closing now when I think about it!

And to think that as a teen I was one of those wackos that would jump of the Sandy Hook Bridge in NJ!!! Jeez!

Thank god for light switches and swimming lessons!

curly
