I'm looking for suggestions for some good summer reading.

What's everyone out there reading??

Just about ready to start reading The Good Soldier .

"I Don't Know How She Does It" - lent to me last year by my sister, who keeps asking me if I've read it yet . . . :o

Recently I finished The Lovely Bones, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Me Talk Pretty Someday, A Country Doctor's Casebook, P C M.D., and Seabiscuit.

Started The DaVinci Code, but had to return it to the library before I finished it. Will have to check it out again sometime.

Just bought The Secret Life of Bees -- will read that next.

On my list for the summer:

The DaVinci Code
Angels and Demons
Life of Pi
Eats, Shoots, and Leaves
Dress Your Family in Cordoroy and Denim
Middlesex
The Nanny Diaries (also lent to me by same sister . . .)

I just finished "Angry Housewives Eating BonBons" by Lorna Landvik... and I loved it!

Karen Kingsbury has a new one coming out next month, and that will be my next purchase.

Maeve Binchey is another favorite author of mine.

Currently reading Faking It by Jennifer Crusie. Happened across one of her books (Crazy for You) at the library and liked it, so I thought I'd try another one! :)

Currently I am reading All He Ever Wanted by Anita Shreve.

On the 'waiting' list ;) are Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs. And I just bought Trading Up by Candace Bushnell (she wrote Sex and the City.)

/
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
White Death - Clive Cussler
The Eight - Katherine Neville (re-reading for the 9th time)

I'm reading a Stephen King book and for the life of me I can't remember what's it's called...that oldtimers must be kicking in at 25!? I think it's called The Wizard and the Glass. But anyways, it's the 4th(?) book in the Gunslinger series...SUCH GREAT BOOKS! I LOVE his horror books...though this one is more of a cross between a bit of horror and fantasy/sci fi.

Oh, and if you haven't read the Harry Potter books...you Must.

This is an old book, but with the movie coming out, I read The Stepford Wives since I had not seen the original.

I have also discovered Mary Higgins Clark. Someone left a book of hers at work, and I liked it so much I am going back and reading her other ones.

I also checked out Gone With the Wind yesterday as well. I read it about 10 years ago, and just decided I would like to read it again.

Currently re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Just Finished: "A Curious Incident of Dog in the Night Time" (loved it)
Now reading: " The Devil Wears Prada" and I am enjoying that as well!

It is so nice to be able to read for FUN again!!! No more college textbooks for me!!

The Time Traveler's Wife -
AMAZING book....could not put it down and read it again when I was done!! Sci-Fi..but more of a love story..Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have bought the rights to the book to make into a movie!

In her Shoes - This book was filmed down here with Cameron Diaz and Shirley McClain...very good story of two sisters and a grandmother

Good In Bed - Same author as IHS..very good!!

now I am reading "The Secret Life of Bees" very good story set in 1960's South Carolina!

I enjoyed Angry Housewives, too.

Right now I am in the middle of **Standing in the Rainbow** by Fanny Flagg.

My Kindergarteners gave me a GC to B&N so I picked up:

**My Sister's Keeper** by Judy Picoult
**Little Children** by Tom Perrotta
**Breaking Her Fall** by Stephen Goodwin
and
**Ruby River** by Lynn Pruett

Summer is the only time I get to do 'recreational" reading, and lucky for me, I have a LOT of airport time this summer to read!

These boards LOL!

Unfortunately I cannot seem to find the time to pick up any of the umpteen books I have upstairs waiting to be read. Maybe this post will inspire me. I used to read all the time, usually have a hard time putting the books down. I need to go upstairs and pick out a book.
