What Are You Reading Right Now?

I just finished reading Sizzle by Julie Garwood. I have never read her before and thought the book was good. I read it in one day.

I just finished One for the Money and have just started The Help.

I really need to find some light fluffy romantic reads to zone out to with the stress life is throwing at me. Any suggestions
I really like Maria de Los Santos - Love Walked In and Belong to Me. They are not totally light and fluffy, but they are easy to read and I really enjoyed them.

For totally light romance books, I love Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series. The books are set in England in the early 1800s, and they are very light and quite funny. Read them in order, start with The Duke and I.

I saw a rave review of this book today in a magazine. I'm adding it to my library queue. Something about something in Tennessee. That's all I remember. Sorry to be of no help whatsoever.

Christine, please tell us when you get a little into it!!!

I've recently read Hannah's Dream about an elephant and her keeper. Sweet.

I just re-read (from many years ago) The Witch's Hammer. Very good. Sadly, the author (Jane Stanton Hitchcock) hasn't written anything nearly as good since.

Started (maybe 10 pages) The Leisure Seekers. I'm bringing that on the plane when we go to Disney on Friday.

Is there anyway to browse just the free offerings on the Kindle?

Sure there is. I browse the freebies in the Kindle Store a lot! From the Kindle store, just type in Free Kindle Books. Actually you won't even have to finish typing that, it'll come up in the drop down menu.

I'm currently reading The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeannette Walls.

I just finished The Hunger Games last night. I had no idea what I was getting into but it blew me away! I was so caught up in the book, I got into bed early just to finish it.

It was really good. Thanks to those who recommended it. Now I need to go get the sequel.

I'm so glad you liked the book! I loved it, and the sequel! I'm dying, waiting for the third book!

I've been wanting to read that! I'll have to try it out. I'm trying to get in all the reading I can as in about 5 weeks I know that I won't have time  Right now I am reading The Mysterious Benedict Society and I just finished The Adoration of Jenna Fox. Very interesting story.

I really enjoyed The Forest of Hands and Teeth, by Carrie Ryan. I can hardly wait for the sequel.

Just finished The Help which I loved and didn't want it to end and now I'm starting The Art of Mending.

Just started The Lovely Bones. I am not sure if I can keep reading it. It makes me too sad.

American Diva by Julia London
See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson (or anything by Gibson)
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas
Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas (this one is a historical but so GOOD!)
Thirteen Chances by Cindy Miles
Dark Lover by JR Ward (totally crack-tastic!)
Instant Attraction by Jill Shalvis
Heiress for Hire by Erin McCarthy
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole (fantastic!)

This is just a sampling. I have a list a mile long!

I didn't think I could either, when I first picked it up. But I'm glad I did. As heartbreaking as it was I found it very uplifting.

Right now, I'm in the middle of re-reading Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon.

I think this is my favorite series of all time. I am currently listening to Voyager. I think the audio recordings are excellent for anyone who wants to revisit the series without re-reading the books (which I also have done).

I really liked The Help and I was wondering if you guys could recommend books like it?
I am almost finished with The Help and it is one of the best books I have ever read. I would also be interested in recommendations of similar types of books.

I'm starting, Rapture in Death, by J.D. Robb today. I am also going to peruse Hungry Girl's Recipe and Dining Out Tips book. I don't have that title handy.

No more fun reading for me now that the semester has started.

For my Ethics and Modern Technology class I am currently reading:
Ethics: A Pluralistic Approach to Moral Theory by Lawrence M. Hinman
The Four Cardinal Virtues By Josef Pieper

For my History of Technology class I am currently reading:
Connections by James Burke
The Axemaker's Gift by James Burke and Robert Ornstein
Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond
Science and Technology in World History by James McClellan and Harold Dorn

Yeah it is going to be a busy semester lol

You would probably enjoy the book Mudbound. Set during similar times in rural Mississippi. After reading that I knew that I had to read The Help (which I'm doing right now & loving it!!!)
