I'm passed page 100 of "The girl with the dragon tattoo" by Stieg Larsson, and I'm still not into it. Wonder if I ever will.

I just finished Sacred Cows by Karen E. Olson. It is book one in the Annie Seymour Series.

I enjoyed it.

Getting ready to start The Fixer Upper by Mary Kay Andrews.

I succombed to temptation. Put my book aside, and started "Dead Until Dark" by Charlaine Harris.

I just finished The Help last night and I loved it, I could not put it down. I also like Mudbound. Both books were recommended on here! These usually aren't my types of books either. Can anyone make some suggestions on books like these?

Also, has anyone read Cast Member Confidential? I finished it in a day, it was alright but I just felt like the author was making most of it up!

I just finished One Amazing Thing by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. It's a really beautiful book about nine people trapped in a building after an earthquake. They each decide to share one amazing thing about thier lives. The stories are wonderful!

Now I'm reading Fallen by Lauren Kate. It's reminding me a bit of Twilight (but not with vampires) and I'm not into it yet, but hopefully it will pick up.

I just finished "House of Sand and Fog". I honestly don't think I would have picked this book up by myself. It was recommended here, and while I'm glad I read it, I'm not sure I would recommend it. It's kind of like watching a car/train accident. You just can't NOT look! You can see what's going to happen, and want to scream at all the characters to watch out, but of course, you can't. It was well written, and very believable. I did feel a bit depressed after reading it.

Now, I'm reading "Prayers for Sale" by Sandra Dallas. So far, I'm really loving this book.

A morbid taste for Bones by Ellis Peters, its one of her Brother Cadfael books set in the middle ages when Empress Maud and King Stephen where fighting for the throne.

I'm past the halfway mark of Strangers by Dean Koontz. I'm enjoying the story but it seems to drag on. The moon, the moon! Come on already and tell me why!!

I LOVED The Historian! Wait until you read about all of the places to which the main characters travel. Very interesting!

I didn't get to read much this weekend so I am still near the beginning but I am finding it very S...L...O...W. Maybe it's because of many interruptions, but I am finding it difficult to follow which character is "speaking" as there are several stories within the story. I may go back to the beginning so I can get the plots and characters straight in my mind. I really don't want to bail on this one.

Just finished reading The Stand now I'm reading The Lovely Bones

Warning could be a very stupid question....

I read the 8 book set of the Sookie Stackhouse series - I thought this was all of the "sookie" books... But I went online and saw what appears to be a couple more... Anyone know if these are part of the series?

Dead and Gone
A Touch of Dead

Many posters loved this book. I got more than half way through & put it aside. I kept getting "lost" also. It moved slow for me too.

Maybe some day I'll pick it up again, but right now, it's just sitting in the back of the book cupboard!
