I have heard good things about Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake vampire hunter series, though I haven't personally read them yet.
Charlie Huston has written a series about a vampire private investigator named Joe Pitt which is supposed to be very good. Those I would like to read next if they go on sale!
I tried the Laurell K Hamilton ones, couldn't really commit to them even though I bought several (story of my life) I read my last available Aurora Teagarden yesterday in three hours (library book), they don't have access to the latest one, so I'll start the other series. Also finished "the Widow" by Carla Neggers (found it by accident after listening to the book channel on XM, thought this was a book I had been listening to, wrong, but still pretty good, even if it was actually printed as a Harlequin (!). Now I'm on one by Andrew Gross (co wrote severaly with James Patterson ,including my all time favorite Patterson book, The Jester). I picked this one up off the rack in Wal Mart, it's called The Dark Tide, pretty suspenseful.
Just finished all the Harry Potter books. I had read the first 6, but not the last, so I reread the first 6 and the last one. SO worth it! In between books right now, though I am casually scanning a biography of Houdini.
I like Kathy Reich's books much more than the show. They are more serious, less goofy. I found the show a disappointment after reading the books for years.
I'm reading the Watchmen. So far it's quite good, not at all what I expected. This is the first graphic novel I've read.
If there is a book out for a movie I'm going to see I always try to read the book first since 9 times out of 10 the book is better. But I have very high hopes for this movie, especially in IMAX.
Right now I'm reading Definately Dead by Charlaine Harris - the 6th book in the Sookie Sookhouse Southern Vampire Series. I do like these alot, but boy does this chick always find herself in troubling situations, lol.
