Just finished Blink by Malcom Gladwell.

Now I'm reading Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich. My goal was to finish all of her Stephanie Plum series before back to school. I orginially was going to read them one after the other but I got side tracked and read other books along the way!

Started BEach Road by James Patterson then Breaking Dawn came out so I had to read that asap, so I am trying to finish getting thru Beach Road. IDK I usaully blow right threw his books but this one keeps losing me...

I picked up The Host today so I will start that this weekend.

LOVED The Historian !! I read that one last year.

"The Happiness of Bliss" by Eric Weiner. Great read, insightful and very funny.

Today I start All Together Dead by Charlaine Harris. I feel like Sookie Stackhouse is an old friend by now. I'll be sorry when I get to the last book in the series and I'll be anxiously awaiting the next one's release.

FYI....HBO is premiering True Blood (based on the book series) Sept 7th. :woohoo: Only problem is, the actors just don't appear to match up with the characters. For instance, Sam looks like I skinny surfer dude. Not exactly how I pictured him, ya know?) Hoping I'm pleasantly surprised with the show nonetheless. popcorn::

Thanks for this link! Sam is too young. He's supposed to be older than Sookie. I always pictured Bill with his hair slicked back and not with bangs. Jason is spot on, IMHO. I never game much thought to what Tara looked like, so I think she's ok. Lafayette is exactly what I pictured him to be!

I just saw this post now. Sorry I missed it earlier. I didn't like Sundays at Tiffany's or a number of the Women's Murder Club books that he wrote with other people.

Had no idea that this was going to be a series. Thanks.

I just finished Eat, Pray, Love and have started Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants .

EPL was pretty good, some of it was slow, and after awhile I wanted to slap the author but I've been to Italy so really enjoyed that part and I also enjoyed the "Love" part of the book.'

Sisterhood is ok...it's clearly written in young adult style and is hard for me to get into after reading Eat, Pray, Love.

I finished The Broken Window and it was a good read!

Are there any Nelson DeMille fans here? A sequel to The Gold Coast is going to be released in October. I'm re-reading The Gold Coast in anticipation of the sequel.

Gold Coast is one of my husbands favorite books. I'm going to see if I can pre-order it for him :goodvibes . Thanks for the heads up!

I just read on Vacation.

Remember Me by Sophia Kinsella

Silent Thunder by Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen

The Nosy Neighbor by Fern Micheals

I thought they were all good. :thumbsup2

Just started the Queen of Babble gets Hitched by Meg Cabot. It is the thrid book in the Series.

I started reading Kiss of Shadows by Laurell Hamilton last night and just couldn't get into it. I put that down and started Many Bloody Returns, a book of short stories about vampire birthdays by different authors. That has been interesting so far.
