I have been stalking you guys for awhile getting book ideas!!

I finished Winter Garden a few days ago. What a good book ... I am still thinking about it. It was really great ... very touching, very real.

I am now starting the Susan Mallery (I think that's the name) series with the restaurants. I did read/start another Kristin Hannah book after Winter Garden but I couldn't get into it because I was still thinking about Winter Garden.

It must be very good, I've been on the wait list for it for weeks!

I'm reading that one now. Just finished "Irresistable", which I loved. Now I've got to go back to the library for "Sizzling", before I read "Tempting", which I've already got.

Just finished Dear John (it's ok) and Last Song (cried like a baby) by Nicholas Sparks. If you have read NS before, it seems to be the same stories again.

I started Julie and Julia yesterday. It is for my book club and the author is coming to Scranton soon to speak.

I really thought I wouldn't be interested in this book, but I am pleasantly surprised by it. I've read more than 100 pages since last night.

I really liked this book, too! We read it for a book club a while back, and our hostess cooked us a meal from Julia Child's cookbook. It was a fun evening. I enjoyed the book a lot!!!

I tried last summer before the movie came out and failed:lmao: Read about 125 pages and then really didn't care if the meal turned out or not:rotfl:

It turned me off to seeing the movie......any opinions on that?
Have a Magical Disney Day!

In this case, I think I liked the movie a bit better than the book. Mainly because it wasn't just an adaptation of Julie and Julia. It also took experiences from Julia Child's book "My life in France." Very good! Not to mention that Meryl Streep was PERFECT as Julia Child. I thought it was a wonderfully done movie!

I find it interesting that the majority of these books are not available on Kindle:(:(

I'm currently about 5 pages away from finishing The Road by Cormac McCarthy. GREAT book, probably one of the best books I have read in a long, long time.

I will then start Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane. Heard it was a great movie... I prefer to read the books over watching the movies.

I was reading Snowfall by Sharon Sala today, about half way through and realized the I have already read it. I put it away to pass on to someone else because I wasn't that interested in re-reading the rest of the way. So then I picked up At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks and two pages in realized that I have read this one also. Now I've got Outer Banks by Anne Rivers Siddons. I know I haven't read this one (or at least I don't think I have). It's getting pretty bad when you don't remember what you've read.

I'm waiting, impatiently, for the 3rd Sookie Stackhouse book, so I dug into some older books- currently reading Salem's Lot by S.K. I guess I'm gonna have to order the rest of the Sookie books all at once so I don't have to wait like this again!

I've just started The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. I'm about 80 pages in and so far I'm loving it. Didn't want to put it down to go to bed last night.

I started this last week and I am almost done..:sad1: It is one of those books I hate to see end because I get so attached to the characters...What a fantastic book.

I'm reading Definitely Dead, the 6th book in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
