I just finished The Measure of a Lady by Deanne Gist. Now I'm getting ready to work on Last of the Breed by Louis L'Amour. I really can't wait to read some of the other books mentioned in this thread. I'm glad somebody started this thread. :)
I love Louis L'Amour, especially his Sackett series.

Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang by Chelsea Handler. It came out today and since I love her so much I was at the bookstore when they opened to get it. So far it is just as hilarious as her others.

I finally broke down and PURCHASED "Outlander" at full price. My library doesn't carry it and none of my favorite used book stores had it in stock. After seeing all the recommendations here, I just had to check it out for myself. (Of course squeezing it in between episodes of American Idol, Survivor, DWTS, and Amazing Race will be challenging).

You won't regret it:goodvibes:cool1:

I am addicted!!!!

On the waiting list for the new Sookie Stackhouse and in the meantime plowing through Son of a Witch.

Waiting (impatiently) for book 6 in the House of Night series to get here.

I went ahead and started Glass Houses this morning (1st book in the Morganville Vampires series). I got it after reading a short story with these characters which I really liked...not a real attention grabber yet, but it'll fill up some free time. ;)

Finished Quentins by Maeve Binchy yesterday and it didn't disappoint.

Began Murder With Puffins by Donna Andrews. I'm 60 pages in and not finding the humor I found in the first book. Hope it shows up soon.

I just started 1st to Die by James Patterson. So far, so good....I am a big fan of the three page chapter! :)

Has anyone read Dennis Lehanne's The Given Day? My book club is reading it for next month and I can't get myself psyched up to start it. Maybe it's because I just picked it up from the library and it is 900+ pages (large print).

Just started and finished Hiroshima by John Hersey (6 lives of survivors), the ds had it for school this month and I figured, WTH I'd read it.....just finished a trash novel too :lmao:

"Tempted" finally arrived today ~ can't wait to start it tonight! :)
Already finished Glass Houses ~ very quick read but better than I expected. :thumbsup2

I've put My Guy Barbaro on hold for now to read Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer. I've been listening to My Sister's Keeper and am enjoying it.

I am fianlly giving in and reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. I had a giftcard for books a million and got the first two tonight.

Right now I'm reading 'The Choice' by Nicholas Sparks and a book called 'Urban Life' by George Gmelch, Robert V. Kemper, and Walter P. Zenner (it's an anthroplogy ethnography.):thumbsup2
Next week I will be starting my GRE test prep, so I'll have my nose in The GRE For Dummies book. :thumbsup2

I just finished a novel called Alchemy by Mike Wood. He is a sixth grade teacher at the school I work at!!!! What a great read and a real page turner. It is currently available on Amazon.com check it out!!!!

I am getting ready to start Nightlight it is a parody of Twilight.

I've been reading Jackie Collins again lately. Finished Poor Little B%&*H Girl, then realized I had missed the one before it, so now I'm reading Drop Dead Beautiful. They're not as well developed plot wise as her old ones, but the old ones aren't available for Kindle for some reason, and if I managed to find my old copies the pages would probablt fall out they're so old :lmao:
