I just finished the First Sookie Stackhouse book and liked it more than I thought I would. I got the next 7 for Christmas as well and the Stephanie Plums from 4 to 10....I don't know what I am going to read next.

I've read 1-7 and you REALLY should start Stephanie first! 7 is just yummy with the interaction between her and Ranger! :cloud9:popcorn:: I'm getting ready to start eight today and more than likely will finish it this evening or tomorrow.

For those of you who like the Stephanie Plum books, there is a new series I think you all will like. The first book comes out on February 2nd. It's called Truly Madly and the author is Heather Webber. It's a lot of fun. I got an advanced copy and I'm really enjoying it.

I just finished the last book in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Definitely liked the earlier books better.

Now I am reading The Lovely Bones and I cannot put it down! So good!

I am enjoying it. And now I am afraid :(
If you've already read The DaVinci Code and Angels and Demons, you have to read The Lost Symbol. It's just good in some aspects and not so much in others. The end was worth the read.

I finished The Help tonight. Such a good book! I can't wait to discuss it at our book club next month.

Next on my agenda is Poland by James Michener. I found out some family history that I didn't know recently, and I know that this book covers some of my families' history. I can't wait to start reading it!

I am starting number 3 tonight...Can't wait. I want to thank everyone on this thread for all the great suggestions.

Now you guys have me adding the Stephanie Plum series to my audible wish list. lol.

I still have a bunch of Jodi Picoult books to "read" and finish the Twilight series.

So I think I will try to listen to them in this order:
Finish Twilight
finish Perfect Match
One for the Money
New Moon

RUDisney: I def. enjoyed both. And I am getting close to the end of Lost Symbol. Really enjoying.

Next up, a book in French called "Millenium"

I just read an excerpt...I can't wait. SOUNDS GREAT!

I haven't really had time to read since I finished "Peter and the Starcatchers" (which I thoroughly enjoyed, BTW and I'll pick up the sequels after the first of the year).

I just started "The Pearl" by Steinbeck ~ needed something a little less fluffy, LOL. ;)

Finished two Carla Neggers books (she reminds me of Nora Roberts), Angel and the Mist, just started one called Conspiracy in Kiev (free for Kindle). Series sounds promising, first two were free downloads, the last cost me less than $10 to download.

I really enjoy Carla Neggers books.

I am reading Vanishing Act by Fern Michaels. It is book 15 in the Sisterhood Series.

Reading #8 of the Plum series. I'll finish today. I'll start #9 as soon as I put 8 down. Got a notice from the library that KINDRED IN DEATH is ready for me to pick up. Gonna get it Friday. Can't wait to read that. I've read ALL the JD ROBB series and it's been awhile since I've read one, gonna really enjoy this one. I ADORE Roarke! :cloud9:

I'm currently trying to get through Audrey's Door by Sarah Langan. I would never have chosen it but my daughter gave it to me for Christmas. I really should have returned it for another book.

I like the In Death series too! I've started reading them from the beginning and am stuck on the 4th, Rapture In Death. I've been on the lookout for it for months at our local used book store and it's eluded me. Our library's book selection is small but I need to take a look there just in case. If I don't find it soon I am going to have to resort to buying it online.

I just finished "The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder" by Rebecca Wells. She also wrote "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" books.

I kept putting this book off, reading all of the others I brought home with it, renewed at least once, and wondered why I had checked it out. I thought about just taking it back unread (sacriledge!).

I am so glad I finally read it - I really enjoyed it. Great characters, somewhat predictable storyline, but the journey was worth it. Made me laugh and cry. I stayed up late last night reading and finished it first thing this morning.

Got a Kindle for Xmas and have already read 2 books. I read the first Stephanie Plum book, "One For the Money", in a couple of days. I enjoyed it and will certainly be reading the rest of the series.

I also just finished "The Constant Princess" by Phillippa Gregory. I adored the other books I read of hers (The Other Boleyn Girl, The Boleyn Inheritance, The Queen's Fool). This one was just ok. There was some repetition in the writing that just started to get on my nerves. You could make a drinking game out of this novel with the phrase, "I was born to be Queen of England".

Tonight I will be starting "The Heretic's Daughter". One of my co-workers recommended it to me. It's an historical fiction account of the Salem Witch trials. The author is an actual descendant of the character she writes about.

I know one thing for sure. This new Kindle is turning me into a reading machine. I love to read, but usually only read one novel per month. I see my reading time increasing!

Do you like it? Do you mind not owning the book itself?
