What are you looking forward to today?

finishing work at 10pm on Monday 8th August knowing that I'll be heading out to the airport just a few hours later for our flight the next day (I don't think my colleagues are looking forward to that night though - lots have threatened to take the day off!)

Definitely looking forward to leaving immigration behind, getting into our car and driving - the smell, the sounds, the heat and (hopefully) being amazed at the villa that we've been allocated.

DD is looking forward to a brownie at Cici's and DS is looking forward to DTD, especially the Lego shop. DH is looking forward to Kennedy Space Centre, our first day out, scheduled for 11th August, tickets are already in our hands so it's a given.

Most of all at the moment though I'm looking forward to finally getting into double digits (we're on 111 days).

Today I am looking forward to arriving in MCO and walking out the doors to the parking lot and hitting that barrier of heat for the first time. :upsidedow

That feeling is the absolute best :goodvibes

Today I am looking forward walking past the turnstiles in lovely hot weather at Islands of Adventure and hearing the music of the park...

And then hopefully a meal at Mythos :)

Today I'm looking forward to two things! Firstly the heat hitting you as walk out of the airport! Secondly seeing the Castle from the top of Main Street! Seeing the Castle for the first time always makes me a little teary :blush:princess:

Sorin' even just thinking about it makes me happy.

Yes! This is our favourite ride ever! Sometimes when we lie awake at night talking about our next trip I put on the music to Sorin and we close our eyes and imagine we are there! :goodvibes

Loving this thread. Sometimes it's thinking of the smallest things that bring back the best memories! :goodvibes

seeing my girsl faces the first time they see mickey mouse in real life

whole different holiday for us now and cant wait

Getting on the monorail at MCO and hearing 'Welcome to Orlando......' knowing that we have got our full holiday ahead of us! Just look at eachother smiling.......:cloud9:

I've got to say the cliche answer here .. EVERYTHING.

Can I be cheeky and and name a few rather than one? It's too hard :rotfl:

-Walking out of the airport and seeing the magical express (I think I'll die)

-My birthday at MK!

Just to pick two rather than majorly cheating and saying :confused3 like 20 things! Hahah :goodvibes:dance3:

oh i had my 21st in mk!!! loved it had dinner with winnie the pooh!

Ooh, this is making me all squibbly inside just reading these...
OK here we go:

The sight of that first purple roadsign that lets me know I'm there
The smell of churros in Frontierland just by the spot where DH2B proposed
The sound of the the music played in HM
The taste of my first Dole Whip of the hol
The feel of DH2B's hand in mine as the plane touches down and we know we're in the happiest place on earth together.

I love all of these :-)

My faves are walking out of the airport and the heat just hitting you :-)

Driving under the entrance to WDW and knowing that for 2 weeks I'm leaving the world behind and only have to think about having fun in my Happy Place :goodvibes

And last one, going to Magic Kingdom on the Ferry boat on our first day and seeing the castle getting closer and closer :-)

PS OK I couldn't resist one more - seeing our Mickey and Minnie mad DD2 meet her favourite mice for the first time

i cant wait to see the first welcome to walt disney world sign , the feeling when we are on the coach to our hotel but most of all the kids faces as they see everything for the first time i dont think there is any money in the world that can buy that sort of memory or feeling - good job i am taking lots of memory cards for the camera and preordering photo pass i dont intend to miss a second !!

I'm sooo excites reading all these posts and I still have 6 months to wait! Today I'm excited about driving under the big WDW entrance sign! Can't wait :hourglass

Today I'm looking forward to sitting on our balcony at SSR in the evening and opening a cold beer!! :drinking1

Great thread :goodvibes

There's tonnes of stuff that I'm looking forward to when spending my summer at WDW, but at this particular moment in time I'm really looking forward to my first day:

Meeting some of the other international college program participants at check in Gatwick, and then spending the flight to Orlando getting to know my new friends :goodvibes
Landing in MCO, as I've only ever arrived in SFB.
Jumping onto the ICP coach and checking into the college program participant's appartments and meeting my new roommates for the next 3 months :).
Heading over to Walmart to buy bedding and all the American sweets and junk that I miss so much.
Heading into DTD and munching on a EoS.

Busy, busy, busy!! I'll be looking forward to something else tomorrow.... :rotfl:
