My kids haven't asked for anything so far and there isn't really anything that they are "talking" about. :confused3

I was at Target yesterday and they had some cute stuff in their $1 Spot like Hello Kitty stamps, notebooks and Mickey Mouse playing cards, cute little stocking stuffers.

Are there really any hot, "must-have" toys this year? So, what are you getting for your kids?

Well since I have already bought for Christmas and there isn't a chance I won't get what I want :rolleyes: , here it is:

DD7: Bitty Baby twin set with stroller, one set of twin clothes

DS10: New bike, light saber set, general grevous ship, star wars 5 pk figures, battleship board game

DS5: quitar, light saber set, remote control crane, pirate island (to go with a pirate ship my sister is giving him), and a TOMY toy of some kind

This year was easy as they all have a $150 limit (except stocking items) so I'm done now except the TOMY toy!

I would recommend the Playmobil or Mega block pirate or medival castle sets for boys 11 and under.

I see that you have a 10 yr. old Star Wars fan in your life! :teeth: I have one too! DS got the lightsaber set for his birthday, he plays with it everyday.

Besides little stocking stuffers...

DS5 - a new Leappad, he wore his My First Leappad out; a DoodleGlo Pro with the Dinosaur accessory kit and a set of Science books

DD1 - a play kitchen with all the plastic accessories and the Little People A-Z zoo

(In case this doesn't sound like much, the kiddos have 8 aunts and uncles, 2 sets of grandparents and 5 cousins...they get so much stuff every year that we put some of it away for February and even more for Spring so we thought it was time to tone down our end to make things more reasonable...Last year my son didn't even remember what all he got until a few days later!)

DD (17) is getting an Ipod mini, Ipod socks, Ipod speakers and a thing that will let her listen to it over the car radio. I also got her a $50 ITunes gift card.

She's also getting a couple of CDs (bought them before the Ipod), a couple of DVDs, a couple of T-shirts (Amy Brown Fairies) and a new Mickey watch.

Besides a trip to WDW, here is what our boys are getting from us:

DS5 - A couple new Leapster cartridges, floam and Spongebob PS2 game

DS3 - Matchbox Treasure Island thing, Elefun and Candyland DVD game

They are also getting the 19" Mickey TV and a couple board games (Captain Bones, Disney Guess Who and a few others)

They have also asked for some Imaginext dinosaurs and the Matchbox Dino rig thing. We will leave it to the other 30 people who buy for them to get those things :rotfl:

DD 8- all 3 pixel chicks, 3 american girl dolls, idog, some puppy doll

DS 6 not sure yet

The are also getting chicken limbo as a shared gift.

/
DD10=Ipod shuffle
DS8=nintendo gamecube

DS20mos.=???? any suggestions?

TY to the poster who gave the heads up about Targets $1 bin!!
great stocking stuffers!

DD6 is getting a portable DVD player, a portable CD player, some leapster tapes, 2 playstation 2 games, 5 games from Cranium, a puzzle, book of string games, barral of craft stuff, some littlest pet shop stuff, membership to this kids gym she wants to go to, a precious moments figure...I am sure I have some other stuff bought already that I forgot about but thats what she got so far....

For DS (3) he is getting those Shake and Go racers and raceway which are really great for his age since he can't control a remote control car. He is also getting the Home Depot Tool Bench from Toys R Us.

For DD (6) she is so easy to buy for, anything girly, Barbie, Polly Pocket, jewelry making items, etc.

Oh, and I agree that Target has got great stocking stuffers in their $1 section!

I'm getting my ds3 :
a BC Builder I-Fell Tower set
a sit and spin
a Blues clues bath toy
a travel Aquadoodle laptop thingy
shake and go racers
that "star" karioki (sp?) thiny for preschoolors with the kids bop song thingy lol

Santa is getting him a red Blue's Clues thinking chair. ;)

I really don't know yet. I'm checking over some of the Black Friday ads and trying to come up with some sort of plan, but I'm not very successful yet.

I'd like to get the Xbox 360, but I just know it's not going to be an option before Christmas (I shoulda pre-ordered). I'm not willing to pay $200 or $300 more for it on eBay just to put under our tree and I seriously doubt I'll find any store selling them. I will pick one up at the beginning of the year though.

I was thinking about Ipods, TV's, PSPs, and what they both want more than anything, a family plan with Verizon. No one in our family enjoys talking on the phone though? They have flip Tracfones, but they don't have built in cameras! They're not cool, ya know! All the wrong reasons IMO to get the plan.

I just can't make up my mind which direction we want to go.

Clothing is one thing they'll both get. When my kids were little, I never bothered with clothing (and I hate to wrap, so why wrap clothes? LOL), but now that they're teens, they wants LOTS and LOTS of clothing.

Video games and movies are definites too.

They won't get all of this, I'm just trying to decide!

All the kids are getting a few little gifts each from us because we decided ahead of time to keep it simple since we are going to WDW. They'll still get lots from Grandparents and other relatives. All I have left to do is their stockings which are alot of fun for me. I like trying to think of fun and creative stocking stuffers.

LMC ~ Did you buy your 10 year old Star Wars fan the battleship game yet? My kids have Star Wars Battleship and it's great.

(if it's not too late)

That's funny, because those are the two bigger items that my little guy (age 2 1/2) will be getting!

That A-Z Zoo looks like so much fun. He has several other Little People sets and he loves them. He plays with his barn set every single day,and he's had it for months!

He's also getting the Step 2 Deluxe Kitchen. That thing is SO cool! It makes my real kitchen look kind of pitiful.

Here's a link.

He's also getting the Elefun game (where the elephant blows the little butterflies up in the air and you have to catch them with a net). I think he will go NUTS over that.

Other than those things, some books and some other little stocking stuffers.
