What are you getting your kids for Christmas?

So far, I've gotten each of them a single share of Disney stock. (I want to get each a binder, and let them choose--within reason-- a single share for future birthdays and Christmases. Not exactly a "stock portfolio" but I want to build the idea. )

And each of my girls has gotten a leotard for gymnastics.

I want to get each a piece of luggage for our upcoming Disney trip.

Any other ideas out there?

I'm at a loss this year. All DD keeps insisting on wanting is a baby doll with a stroller! I'll pick up the requisite Christmas Duffy when we're in the World next month as well as a few smaller items that I can hide from her in our room, but aside from that - who knows.

I LOVE your stock idea, though, and may just copy it!

Christmas has gotten easier as my boys have gotten older (they're 18 and 15). They usually make a list of video games they'd like to have. We get a few of those, plus gift cards for Target, Amazon, iTunes and Subway. They use those for several months buying games, book, downloading apps. and music (and eating at Subway!). We usually get them pajamas, but they each got several pair last year that they haven't outgrown.

Hoping to get us all APs for WDW. Really easy but really expensive! Little guy will get a few lego sets and maybe a new base ball bat he wants.

The more Christmas threads the Merrier :thumbsup2.

I love the Disney Stock idea.
This year we have a surprise trip planned. That will be the major gift. We get home on the 23rd though so we will still do some gifts.

Ds really wants Disney Infinity for the PS3, and some of the characters. He also wants a skateboard (that will probably wait until his birthday in March). He's read all the Percy Jackson books and has the first two in the Heroes of Olympus series. I will likely get him the remaining four.

DD.. No idea yet but she should be easy. She wants perfume, clothes and make up.. Clothes are a risk.. I can't really pick them out for her anymore so a few gift cards might be easier.

Ah, Pigletto, you forgot the newest member of your family! What's that cute puppy getting?? :wave2: Your trip will be here before you know it!

Alice, I got two of my boys new luggage before our August trip. I wanted to find something that didn't scream "my parents' luggage", but would also be sturdier than a typical duffle. And it had to have wheels. We wound up going with these: http://www.rei.com/product/846054/rei-wheely-beast-wheeled-duffel-34

They were pricey, but are very well made, were fantastic for the trip, and at this point it looks like my oldest will be a plane ride away for college next year, so I wanted something that would hold up well for the long haul.

And I have no clue what to get my boys this year. DS12's birthday is next week, so I need to get through that one first! I got him a cornhole set (in blue and yellow, Alice!), and I will take him for a new pair of sneakers that he wants. And then I need to have them start making an Elfster wishlist!

The Christmas before our 1st trip my mom got my boys each a Trunki which we love - perfect for carryon for them on the planes (fits great under seats...they can ride around on them, etc)

This year my boys are getting Disney Infinity for xmas from santa - plus a bunch of characters and discs, etc. Can't wait!!!

My kids are little (3 and 22 months at Christmas). My son wants a Spiderman bike. He turned 3 a few weeks ago and now Spiderman is where it's at- depspite having never seen a movie, show, comic or book about him. :confused3 My daughter will be getting the Little Tikes crib and a new baby doll as her main Santa gift. She loves Snow White and will be getting a dress either from Grandpa or us.

Disney Infinity is already bought and tucked away. When there's a sale I'll buy characters.

The twins have asked for Legos, books, Super Mario Bros chess set, and motor scooters.

They're also already asked for a giftcard for our next trip; they both loved "buying" their own souvenirs.

I know they want Disney Infinity, so they'll probably get that as a joint gift. My oldest wants the Skylanders for the iPod (can't remember the real name of it). Not sure what my youngest really wants. My husband wants to get both boys new computers, since our oldest is in middle school now and starting to need more computer access. And since we're going to Disney for my birthday right after Christmas, we will probably won't do a lot of small gifts, maybe just a couple of larger ones.

DS16 is going on a hunting trip with his dad and friends in January. That will be his main gift. Not sure about small stuff yet but will get a few.

DD14 wants a plane ticket to Hawaii. Her best friend moved there(military) a few months ago and wants to go visit the day after Christmas. I am leaning toward letting her go. I will get her some small things like a pretty mirror for her room that she picked out.

DD9 hasn't said anything but I am thinking she is going to ask for the iPod 5.I have already picked up a few small things like a pretty bulletin board for her room and bracelet making kit.

I think we have just decided that DD9 will be getting a Kindle Fire this year. I had forgotten that we have an Amazon card ( because we use it so rarely.... our Disney card has been our main credit card since we pay it off every month and us it just for the bonus points). When I looked at my Amazon bonus points for rewards I realized that we have enough to cover half the cost already.

Most gifts except stockings bought

DS7: Legos, playmobil, think fun game and magic tree house books

DS 5: same as above but other books

Join gift: disney infinity for wiiu

DS: 1: shopping cart, play food, think fun game, books, firetruck

Dd is getting ipad, buzz light year motorized motorcycle, furr real kitty, clothes, toddler bed, puzzles, baby crib and stroller, Ariel doll and dress package, a few other small things and of course the wdw trip :)

How about one of those cute little budding entomologist kits. The ones with a net, jars with holes in the lid etc. You can go on a bug hunt for that little Jimminy Cricket. Or if you live in the midwest how about Tinkerbell the firefly.

amazon has Bearpaws boots for girls and women in the $40 range, depending on style and color. That's pretty much half price.

A few years ago, my older daughter was THRILLED to get them, knowing that Uggs were simply not a possibility. Her younger sister will be just as thrilled to get them this year :)
