What are you getting your DH for Christmas? Need Ideas!

We got as a joint gift a Keurig that we absolutely love. Of course we started using it right away ;)

I was struggling with DH too. We usually don't get much for each other (usually around $50). Well, didn't want to waste it on stuff he doesn't really want/need so I got him a PS3. He has wanted one for ages but we couldn't justify it. He'll be thrilled to pieces.

My parents got him the latest season of Family Guy and an air compressor. DS is giving him a blu-ray DVD to play on the PS3 (Transformers).

I got mine DVDs of Axe Men and Deadliest Catch.
Nice warm-up pants (he coaches basketball).
A travel mug that plugs into the lighter socket to keep coffee warm in the car.
Manicure set (since we can never find the nail clippers).

I've gotten some good ideas for later from this thread.
I'm all done shopping for him this year. We always set a limit
but my loving husband always goes over it - so then I do too - knowing he will -
so my stuff doesn't look bad next to what i got him... Its a sad cycle

Anyway - this year I got him a new phone (the latest and greatest Motorola phone thru Verizon...) , with some of those clear covers, 2 PS3 games, a book, The Unit season 4, and some stocking stuffers...

(fingers crossed he isn't on these boards any time soon)

:hippie:

I got dh an itouch (with a itunes GC, case, and charger for his stocking), the new Harry Potter dvd, and new socket wrench tool so he won't need his whole set all the time.

Slacker personal radio (internet radio)
Keurig
mug & calender from despair.com
Left 4 Dead 2
Star Trek DVD

We went a little crazy this year. The first 3 Christmases we were married, we were so poor. We've finally been able to pay off our car and credit cards. We have a $300 limit per person.

DH got a Nintendo DS ($97 lightning deals on Amazon), Kingdom Hearts for his DS, Scribblenauts for the DS, 80's Scene it, some new boxers, mammoth crocs (he'll hate them, but will wear them. The last straw for me was when he tried to wear my Steve Madden ballet flats to take out the garbage!) I'm also getting him a giant pack of Frankenberry cereal. It's his favorite and is only out at Halloween. Probably too some bacon mints, floss, etc for his stocking. He;ll get a kick out of it.

My DH graduated from Michigan State but it's hard to find good MSU clothing here in Indiana. I found an online site that has tons of MSU gear, so that's what he gets every Christmas - not just this one. He'll receive a short sleeve T, long sleeve T & other MSU items.

I got him Band of Brothers dvd, a pair of Lands End all weather mocs and an electric snow thrower shovel thingie:lmao:

For those of you who are getting a Keurig, you will LOVE it!

DH is a huge baseball fan. My Kroger's sells MLB.com gift cards, so I got him $50 worth. He can use the gift card to buy tickets or merchandise off MLB.com. I also got him a couple of shirts for work, a couple movies, the new James Pattterson book and the token Christmas boxers (Family Guy)

i am giving my DH money. he has gotten heavily into woodworking over the past year or so and he'll be visiting a large city that has a specialty woodcrafting store on december 30th, so i wanted him to have some more money to spend there.

Originally I had just gotten DH a Tommy Bahama silk hawaiian shirt that I found pretty cheap at Belk's. We weren't supposed to spend a lot of money on each other. Yesterday though I decided to book a last minute trip to Orlando for the Capital One Bowl. So now DH ended up with a huge present. At least I don't feel bad anymore about him getting me a disney Dooney and Bourke purse for xmas.

DH picked out his own Christmas gift last month, but now I'm struggling for something DS can buy him... any more ideas?

DH loves football, and I was thinking DS could buy tickets for them to go to a game. Then I found out how hard (and expensive) football tickets are... back to the drawing board.

If all else fails, DS will buy DH a gift card to Red Lobster, since DH loves to eat there and we never go.

We don't really exchange other then small things but this year we went bigger.

We are getting each other a bathroom remodel.

Normally we just do stocking stuffers with one or two things that don't fit in the stocking.

This year he is getting Mario Kart for the Wii & an extra wheel for it. It was really for our kids but since they have an abundance of stuff already we figured we could give each other the games we bought for them (he is giving me Super Mario Bros).

He is also getting a Star Trek ornament from Hallmark.

I also got him Smokey & the Bandit DVD & he bought himself some DVD or two that I am to give him.

I got hims some small Hickory farms stuff, undies, lips, and a few other things that I can't remember.

OP here. Thanks everyone!!! Great ideas!!! All those lucky husbands out there!!! Now I have a few ideas of my own.

Dh and I aren't really doing gifts, but earlier this year I bought him a Nintendo Duo- packrat that he is he still has his original NES games from childhood and loves being able to play them again.

Also, my standard answer to this question is thinkgeek.com
