For those of you who do exchange with our spouse, what are you getting them this year for Christmas? So far I only have two things for dh to open and am running out of money and ideas. So I'm sending out a cry for Dis Help!

Thanks!

Haven't a clue as to your hubby is as a person.

But for my 80s loving gamer of a hubby I'm getting him Guitar Hero Van Halen (pre-order Amazon $37 on PS2, due 12/22) and 80s & simpson scene it games (amazon gold box deal $8 each) and a freshly made popcorn tin and other treats. All for about $100. Good luck!

DH and I have a $50 limit for each other, so I got him the new Star Trek movie on DVD and the new Dean Koontz paperback novel. I still have $30 to spend on him, though...I plan on getting some chocolate covered sunflower seeds (loves these for some strange reason), but am not sure what else to get him...

We just do little things for each other really. We buy as we want/need so we don't make a fuss at Christmas other than for the kids.

I did find some WWII videos and he loves watching the History and Military chanel so I figured those would be good. I also am giving him some sharpies and maybe a gift card for golf.

DH is very hard to buy for too. I had two ideas one is a telescope and the other is tickets to see Larry the Cable Guy in March. Tickets go on sale this week and DH has always said he would like to see him live.

My husband has a long drive to work and goes in at 4:30 in the morning. I ordered him a duracell rechargeble battery thing that has an air compressor, can jump a car ,and, if the power is out ot your house you can plug things in to it. I ordered from QVC and it was 3 easy payments so spread out over a few months.

I'm surprising DH with the equipment to convert our old record albums to MP3 files for his ipod. I bought it at Staples, but I think I saw it at Sears too. It was about $70 and I think he'll love it!

An ipod shuffle and $50 itunes GC
3 dress shirts and a tie
2 fleece pullovers
Hat, scarf, and gloves
Coffee Mug and magnet from Photoworks
3 items for his car
Jeans

I bought my fiance the Lego Indiana Jones "Temple Escape" set (the one with the rolling boulder), the Star Trek movie, the UP 4-dvd set, a couple of professional Disney Animation drawing books titled "Drawn to Life," and we bought the new Guitar Hero game with instruments, "Band Hero," as a combined gift.

I was going to buy him a new watch, but he recently commented that he prefers to wear his Mickey Mouse watch everywhere.

Not DH, but DBF:

Surfboard rack to hang in his room - he mentioned wanting this a while ago
Black wool overcoat to wear to work over his suits
Pair of jeans
Casual knit long sleeved shirt - he loves these shirts because they are thin material
White button down shirt he can dress up or down
Might pick up Super Mario Bro for the Wii

Nothing too creative, but good stuff he wants and needs anyway.

Oh and my DD8 is giving him a pair of black leather gloves.

We went to see him on Dec 4th and it was very funny. The people with seats in the front row were able to shake hands with him at the end:thumbsup2

Got him a new shower radio since we'll finally have 2 bathrooms come March. A Dragonology game for his Nintendo DSi and the Remastered Black Adder series on DVD. I bought him an early present which he already opened of some Star Wars Entertainment Earth exclusive figures but that's only because it was at a really deep discount.

I'm getting my DH a new pocket tv that runs on AA batteries. This was tough to find, since most of them are charged by usb now. He loved his old one and was so sad with the switch to digital signals. I got it at Radio Shack on sale for $80. DS11 is getting him a pair of fleece lounge pants.

Dh is getting Band of Brothers on Blu-Ray
sweater
shirt
Sanctus Real CD release party/concert tickets (concert is March 9)- VIP so he (we!) get to meet the band

This idea had my vote. I did this for Christmas last year for my kids (they're in their late teens). We had a great time. We went to dinner and then to the show. He's really funny!

DH is getting a new winter coat, a nice sweatshirt, an ipod nano, socks, an alarm clock and a couple other little things I can't remember right at the moment, plus some candy and scratch tickets for his stocking.

Good luck, OP!

We have $150 limit for our gifts. So far, I've bought a Madden NFL game for the Wii and a hooded sweatshirt from his college. I think I'm also going to get him tickets to a beer tasting at the end of January. The beer tasting has experts, 5 different beers, and light appetizers from a nice restaurant.

A system so he can convert his LPs into MP3/CD. Found an awesome black Friday deal at Kohls.
Phiten Tornado necklace
Assassins Creed 2 for DS
Jeep WII game and accessories

We buy as needed as well...
I got him (well ME, but he'll have a cleaner floor because of it :lmao: ) a Roomba 560, a winter ski style jacket, pair of binoculars, a blood pressure monitor, and some new socks (since I always steal his).
