What are you getting DH for Christmas?

The year we moved into our house I got DH one of these Craftsman rolling tool chests, the big shiny red ones with all the little drawers. Useful, but still fun to play with. He's Mr Fix-it so it fit in with a hobby while also being practical.

This year we're doing the Panama Canal cruise so that's our Christmas, birthday and anniversary all rolled together.

He travels a lot so I'm getting him a nice suitcase because ours are getting very worn out. Also getting him dress shirts and pants.

I'm getting dh a Carhartt jacket so he has something to wear when doing all of his projects in the unheated garage and outside. Last year I got him tickets to see one of our favorite comedians and that went over really well, so maybe I'll do something similar this year. I'll fill his stocking with his favorite snacks and some dark chocolate.
The kids always pick something out for him, mostly some kind of tool or gadget. I love Think Geek for that stuff.

We have three kids so we don't usually buy each other much, but we bring the kids to get gifts for mom/dad. We are going to buy a new tv for our bedroom this year, flat screen probably 32 inch. I will be scouting the black friday and cyber monday deals! The tv in our bedroom has been with me since I was 15!!!

I know what you mean OP. My DH also works very hard and neither one of us ever really buy anything for ourselves. DH is a budding gearhead in his spare time so last Christmas I got him one of those nice Craftsman tool chests from Sears for his garage tools. He loved it and I am glad it was a hit with him because it was a challenge to hide that thing until Christmas morning  This year I plan on getting him a new winter coat because he needs one, a new laptop carrying bag, and a Qdoba giftcard because that is his favorite place to eat at on his lunch breaks. :goodvibes

I can't help you here I'm the sucky husband gift giver. :rotfl2:

In 22 xmas I have only made him say omg 2 times. Once was PS3 system.

Other one was walking dead zombie Halloween decoration.

Have you tried adult only no kids allow sexy presents. I have done this every year and he really likes that more then the presents under the tree.

I get DH whatever he puts on his Amazon Wishlist. DH gets me whatever I put on mine. :thumbsup2 Mischief managed!

We makes lists too! Which is great, because I do believe husbands are hard to buy for. DH is into computer games, Sci-Fi stuff, etc. Without a list, I'd have no idea what to get him.

This year he wants to replace his old laptop with a new one. So that's a Christmas/anniversary gift rolled into one. I'm waiting for him to write the rest of his list. I'm anxious to start Christmas shopping!

OP - My Dh's favorite gift I gave him years ago was a Leatherman Juice multitool pocket knife. He was so excited when he opened it! Ten years later, he still carries it around and uses it for everything! :goodvibes A bit pricey, but his reaction was worth it!

One year I got him a dog!!

A few years ago I got him an IOU for Lunch with an Imagineer for our 2012 Disney Trip. He LOVED it!!!

Last year I got him a Keurig. It was a huge hit. And,while it was originally $180, I managed to get it for $60!!!

This year, I'm batting zero... I have no idea!!!

Gift card Outback his favorite
Clothes -he has 30 lbs. this fall
Last season Adam 12
New electric shaver

With that commute, does he have internet radio ? If not it is a monthly fee but you get low/no commercials and hundreds of choices in stations.

We do stockings for each other but I also got him a nice new winter jacket from LL Bean. He wears clothing until it has holes in it so I noted his sizes while doing laundry and got jeans, tops and a sweater. I got some of the new gloves that work with electronics. He moved here from Scotland so I got him some treats from home. He loves the Red Sox so I got some glasses and plan to get a bottle of Drambuie. I also got some refill kits for the home brew beer kit.I also picked up some small tools, new wallet,Dunkin donuts gift card, candy, gum, lip balm, toothbrush, cologne, socks,CD, keychain and a few other small items for his stocking. He already has a kindle and I got the ipad last Valentines day.

I once got my husband front row tickets to an Olympic Boxing Match. Maybe you could get front-row tickets for basketball, football, etc.? Another time, I bought him the Royal tickets for front-row seats to Medieval Times. I usually try to get him something that he would like but never spend the money on himself.

Last year I got him a Keurig which was a hit. This year, he's getting a Paul Goldschmidt jersey, which he asked for. The surprise gift is AZ Cardinals outlet and light switch covers for his office. I got these off etsy.

It is always so hard to find a gift for my DH. If he wants something he usually goes out and buys it for himself. He has a Kindle, iPad mini and MacBook Pro. He works hard and commutes 2 hrs a day. It has been a busy and difficult fall. His dad has been in an out of the hospital since July and is now home under hospice care. I'd like to get him something that will help him relax and take his mind off things. Any ideas would be appreciated.

A few years ago my dh had a job requiring a 2 hr commute---one Christmas I gifted him a car service for 3 different days of his choosing. Truthfully it was a gift cert to a limo service that he could use to book his rt trip at his convenience throughout the year.

We don't give gifts to each other for Christmas. Our anniversary is two weeks before Christmas so we're going away for a long weekend to Florida as our anniversary and Christmas "present" to each other. We usually just do "present days" where we do whatever he wants to do for the day or whatever I want to do for the day. My day is usually going to D.C. and touring museums for the day, while his is staying in pj's, loading up on video games or movies and eating junkfood all day together. We have so many work obligations that we don't get many days off together so these "present days" are something we really look forward to!

I am going to give him an adventure. He thinks we both have too many things and anything we need, we just buy.

I've given him in the past a cruise to Mexico, a one-hour helicopter flight over our city, a weekend away in his favorite hotel, and other fun things to do.

I think this year I am going back to flight. There is a company an hour or so from here that does biplane rides that I'll look into and there is also parasailing in two towns near us. Oh, maybe a hot-air balloon too. It depends on how much they cost.

Well I just ordered my hubby's combination birthday/Christmas gift. I bought him an ipad Air directly from apple.com and having it engraved with his name and the engraved message "With Love From Judy" for free. He really wants the 128GB wifi + cellular (AT&T).

Although he already has an ipad 2, I know he really, really wants the ipad Air, so I got it for him, because he is a really wonderful husband who would do just about anything for me.

We'll just give his old one to one of our daughters who wants an ipad.
