I have gone all summer without cleaning my car. It is a total pigsty, and really needs a good cleaning. I plan on dropping the kids off, then heading right on over to the the carwash for the "works"..

I'll let you know when school starts...Sept. 9 here...
But, you've inspired me to start making some plans of what I should do once the DDs get back in school! Can't wait to hear some other ideas!

...and my car...well...it is a traveling dumpster!

I am doing my "spring cleaning". Most everyone I know does spring cleaning, but I cannot for the life of me understand why I would do that right before the kids are going to be home for the summer. My favorite time for cleaning is in the fall right after they go back to school. I can go in their room and throw away all those junkie pieces of plastic that multiply when I'm not looking, and go through all of last years spring / summer clothes and this years fall / winter clothes and see what to keep, what to donate, what to throw.

For the first few days I am probably just going to enjoy some free time to scrapbook!! But then I am going to get down to some serious raking out of the kids closets!! And after that maybe I will start on the basement! My kids start school 9/1...............P

I'm doing the same as fanofmickey! I've been giving the house a "lick and a promise" all summer long. It'll be time to really move furniture, scrub all the floors, clean closets, etc.

Ack! We haven't been to the pool yet! :faint: Today it's 75 degrees out...fall by my Florida blood's standards. LOL!

I'm not ready for school to start. I have more flexibility with summer! :teeth: The van really does need some cleaning. Put it on the list.

I'll get done a whole lot less since I have to go back to work;)

You guys deserve the break. Have a great time:sunny:

I will be cleaning the house from top to bottom with black (no see-thru) trash bags. My baby is going to Kindergarten (wah!) so this will be the first time inalmost 10 years I've had any time to myself - it will be very strange in the beginning! I also need to finish painting two outside sheds, two shelves and many birdhouses. Also lots of scrapbooking, getting together with other Mom friends who also now have some free time...I want to cook more...get my Christmas cards done early...get Christmas shopping done...exercise at Curves 3-4 times a week..etc. The list is long! :)

My kids haven't gone back yet...we start after labor day. I'm also going to have foot surgery very soon after and will be off work for 2 months. I'll be able to do things that keep me off my feet, so I'm hoping to get my organizational skills back in gear.

I have to report for school on the 31st, and the kids come on the 1st. My house is in total chaos right now because of the construction, so, I'm going to just try to live with blinders for the beginning of school-there is stuff piled everywhere in the house:crazy:

I'm not ready for school to start. I was sick with pneumonia almost the entire month of July, so it feels like I lost some time somewhere.

I do have a big pile of stuff I plan to list on ebay. Both of my boys really like using the computer during the Summer, so finding time for everyone to use it after we're done with our routines is difficult. There isn't enough time in the day for everyone to do what they want with the computer, and DH won't let us get a second computer.
When it's back to school there is more time for me to use the computer to check emails and list auctions for Disney money.

My twins are starting Kindergarten. :earboy2: So, I am finally going to finish my novel that I've been working on for over a year. I also have a LOT of stuff to list on Ebay.

school doesn't start around here until Sept. 7. I am still in a summer vacation mentality.

This thread was right on time for me. I have been sorting out the winter clothes from last year and hanging up the ones that still fit the kids and putting the others in a box for the goodwill. This is the first year I have all 3 in school so I have been taking advantage of it and getting alot of things done around the house.

Clean out the attic and paint and redecorate
three bedrooms....I had my boys clean out
their closets and desks this summer, so I'm
all set to go.

Oh boy...I have started a list!;) They start a week from Tuesday, so will I. Lots of extra cleaning....closets, drawers, get those hidden dust bunnies and I HAVE to clean my dining room and family room carpet. That was suppose to happen before school got out...it didn't!

I'm ready because the kids are board stiff...I'm not because I LOVE the summer schedule.;) These past three weeks we haven't had anything to do...it's been heaven!:p

Have some peace and quiet and not be a daily chauffeur. Yeah, no more driving ds to work everyday, or practically every day. etc.
