What are you doing for Mother's Day?

We will be going to a Mother's Day Brunch at my Father in Laws club. Not sure about the afternoon.

Happy Mothers Day!!!

My grandmother (87) is flying in tomorrow and this will be the first mothers day with all 4 generations in one room. We are going to church then having lunch with some friends of ours who's birthday happends to fall on mothers day and won't be having a party this year. She asked one friend ( my ds) to come to her 6th birthday lunch and i feel blessed that they thought of us on a special day. We are planning a big family Dinner that evening and prolly every evening in between since my DGM is in town. My dh has already promised me some spa treatments while we are at Disney for my gift!!! Honestly I can't wait to see what my DS has come up with at school!

I will go to church. Then we will gather up all of the children and go to Kernersville to take my mother, MIL and FIL out to lunch.

I think the weather is suppose to be gorgeous this weekend.

Prayers and Pixie Dust to all of you that have lost your mothers. I know I feel the same on Father's Day.

I told my DH and kids the only thing I wanted for mother's day was peace and quiet.

I'll spend the day avoiding my EMIL

For Mothers Day I will get up early and make my wife some tea and bring it to her while she is in bed. Will then make breakfast for her and our son(just got back from Afghanistan) and grandsons. Get the Sunday newspaper so she can read it and clip coupons. Then we will probably head outside the Motorhome, hop on the bikes, put the 2 GS in the trailer behind my bike and ride around FW for a morning ride. PD(pregnant daughter?), SIL and 3rd GS will come over later in the day and for the first time in more than 10 years my wife will have her kids together for Mothers Day. Of course I WILL call my MOM up and say HI from WDW.

 for everyone who's lost their mother:( I'll be recovering from the State Democratic Convention -the convention is this Saturday here in Amherst, and I'm in charge of all the host committee activities- host party Friday night, all the opening ceremonies for the convention( they told me they want me up on stage with the rest of the "dignitaries" ). The convention goes until about 5 -Pooh's Pal-where on campus will your DD's competition be? UMASS is going to be a mob scene this Saturday!!!

I will go out to breakfast with my dh, my kids and my mil. After that I will go out with my mom. We usually go to the Christmas Tree Shop and then to the local garden center. We get back to my house early enough to plant a few flowers and then enjoy the day(hopefully). My DH will cook dinner for us and do the cleanup. We will then have our traditional Mother's Day tea with my girls(11 &5). We pull out the good china tea pot and tea cups and have a real fancy tea party.
Gupsmom - I used to feel guilty about going out without the kids too. It didn't take me long to get over it.
 to everyone that is feeling the loss of a loved one on Mother's Day.

Taking DS to Southwicks Zoo - (DH is staying home)

I'll see my Mom on saturday - but we are lucky and they live nearby so I see my folks all the time.

On sunday we are off to the circus! So either way, I get to spend Mother's Day with a bunch of clowns! :)

I'm working from 9:30 - 6:00 that day (but tips should be GREAT so I don't mind!) then take my Mom her gift and visit awhile, then come home and settle in to watch the final "Survivor". DH and I have agreed not to get each other MD and FD gifts/cards this year.

It's my youngest sons birthday on Sunday. So, my sister and I are going to have a cookout at her house, celebrate his birthday as well as mothers day.
I feel for C.Ann, I have the same problem with my mom. My sister and I figure we can handle her better together than alone.

Also, takes some of the focus off us for mothers day and puts it on my sons day.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

My DH and DD will take me to my favorite Mexican restaraunt and then I get to control the remote for the rest of the day!

We always go out to breakfast on Mother's Day (my family, and my mom's parents), and this year will be no different. I also got my mother a little something. One day when we went shopping, she saw this frame she liked that said Mother and a few other things on it. So of course, a few days later I had to buy it for her. I also ordered a picture of my sister, my mother and I from down the shore. I ordered it a few days ago, so hopefully it comes before Sunday!

Probably do some cleaning... lol I'm hoping to get an addition to my Boyd's Bears collection. :teeth:

Brunch at my house. All my sibs say they'll be here for Mom. (she lives with us.) Older DS will be here - not sure if younger DS will be able to since finals are coming up soon (+ it's a 3 hour drive from college). I'm never sure how to get rid of some of the folks. My Sis-in-law with the triplets never knows when to go home! Mom says she'd like some quality candy for Mother's Day (I'm doing Atkins - so the sweets that I have aren't for her!) so I'll have to go by See's and get her a small box!

prior to 1:30pm flying back home from my cousins funeral..

after 1:30pm holding my kids really tight and enjoying them...

I'm hoping to have a great afternoon to make up for my very sad days prior...

Hugs for you, Kim!

Well, today I went online to see about buying tickets for a symphony. Ended up getting them for Sunday. Then I saw something that said something about Mother's Day on Sunday. So I guess I just bought myself a Mother's Day gift! LOL! Can't wait!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Getting up and going to church.... then my Mom and I decided we would like to go out for lunch so we made reservations for the whole family to go out...... then nothing. Maybe go buy some flowers but you can't plant anything here yet because we can and probably will get some killing frosts!
