What are you craving but realistically would never buy?

i would LOVE to have a new Chevrolet Camaro, yellow with black like Bumblebee from "Transformers" (my SUV is 16 years old), but that is so far out of the realm of possibilities, i can't even let myself go there.

:woohoo: My first Camaro was bright yellow with a black vinyl roof and black interior. I, too, called it my bumblebee. The year was.............1973!!!

:love:Boy, did I love that car. It was so cool.

I really want a Cricut- for those who don't know, it's a machine for scrapbooking. The thing normally runs about $150 but it's on sale this week for $75. The only issue is that you need "cartridges" and those run at almost $70 a piece!!!! Plus, I don't know how often I'd really use it. I just WANT it.

If you ever decide to go, don't sweat about being shy. The sales people at my local Buckle are AWESOME! They are so nice and helpful and give opinions on which style they think looks best and such. :thumbsup2

DH and I are going on a Christmas shopping "date" in a couple weeks (no kids for half a day is a date for us!!) So I may get brave!! Thanks!

I agree w/PP.....A Disney trip. We went last November and had such a great time. My boys are getting older and I know "Disney will always be there", but my boys will only be young once and time is slipping away.
It's just not in the cards this year, probably not next either. :sad1:

These beauties: http://www.converse.com/?csid=423#/products/shoes/chucktaylor/112491

But there is no way in HECK I will EVER pay $95 for a pair of shoes unless they're for running or some other sport where the proper shoe is essential. So I must still dream.

:lmao::lmao: I spend about twice that much on my dress shoes for work since I spend a heck of a lot more time in them than I do my running shoes.

My dream item, a convertible sports car. I keep telling DH that when we don't need a minivan any more I am getting a convertible sports car, he thinks I am kidding. :lmao:

So many things......we have a new house (new to us). Certificate for landscaping, Disney vacation club, 7 day Disney cruise ...

Oh, that's easy ... a boat. A 30' v-hull cabin cruiser with the biggest, fastest engine that could find. Of course, since I now live in the midwest, I'd also have to buy a waterfront house on the Florida Coast to moor it, LOL.

I grew up with boats, my father built them and fished commercially. There is nothing in this world that I miss more than the feel of salt spray blasting by me while flying over the water. My life being what it is, I will probably never feel it again in a boat under my own control.

I had never owned a nice bag either but I went to the Kate Spade outlet last week and found a bag I couldn't resist. I tried. I went to Harry & David and looked at martini mix and smoked salmon while thinking it over but thinking it over was my brain saying "go get it go get it go get it" over and over.

My baby. The best part? I paid $100 for it. I llllllooooooooooove it and it was so worth the money.

The thing I'm craving but would never buy is a storefront bakery. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd scope out a storefront on Tuesday.

on ebay they have a dooney & burke mickey mouse bag that supposedly is only sold at WDW ( I didn't see it) It is always selling for around $260 which is way more than I have ever spent on a handbag. But I keep thinking about how much I would love it (yeah, and Christmas is coming and I really should be thinking about my kids first.) Of course, they come first.
DD wants a furr real pony that she saw at the cub's den at the WL and that costs (are you ready?) $250. figures right?

MosMom - very nice bag!

Mine are:
a kindle (not far fetched at all, but I keep going back and forth on it, can't decide if it's a good idea or not)
a Birkin bag (yeah ok)
a Panama Canal cruise

The last is not that unrealistic except for taking a significant amount of time off, because I think I would want to spend some time in CA after the cruise, and that is just a long time to be away from work all at once.

Oh I'd also like a diamond eternity band but DH says I have to wait a few more years for that one...like at least til our 10th anniversary! :rotfl:

Mine is a serger. I have a picture of the one I want on the fridge door but figure that I will never get it. It is nice to look and dream about though. It would cost about $700.00. Way out of my range.

An Aston Martin DB7 but only in pink just so that my hubby would never drive it.

I have never owned a purse except one bought at someplace like Target or Pennys, but I sure want this one. Being unemployed sure does blow.

World of Disney DOONEY & BOURKE $175. Two other styles available a wristlette for $45 and a smaller style for $150

Dreaming super huge and totally impossible: The cure to cancer in pill form, the funds to make enough to GIVE it away for free to ALL cancer patients in the world so the big pharmacy companies would lose out big time. After being charged over four hundred dollars a month for ONE prescription, I hate them. They hold cancer patients and others hostage for health.

Now just big dreaming: a Hermes Birkin bag. The waiting list is over five years and the bag costs over five grand. I don't want a copy, I don't want it from an outlet mall. I want to walk into Hermes in NYC and buy it!! :lmao:

Now a bit more realistic: for some reason, I have been lusting over 400 thread count sheets, cashmere blankets and lux pillows. I'm not even sure why. :worship:

whoever said a vacation nailed it for me... we put in new flooring this summer and just had the roof shingled - those were needs, not wants. I want to fly somewhere for a few days with DH and it's just not going to happen this year.

I love a good gadget, and would dearly love a Kindle. Again it's not happening this year. A friend of mine had to go to India for 3 weeks on business - she treated herself to a Kindle and loaded it up - otherwise we joked she would have needed a suitcase just for books. I don't having anything like that coming up to justify it.

My mini-splurge for Christmas is a new crockpot. My current one works fine, but the new one is bigger and has more features that I can put to good use.

Do you have friends that scrapbook, or make cards. Friends of mine went in together and have joint custody of their Cricut. They've had it for quite awhile, and it has been working out great.

For me- right now, it is the sharper image wine chiller. I want the dual one.
