What are you celebrating?

We are celebrating our kiddos very FIRST trip to Disney. When I made reservations they told me to make sure I got them the first visit buttons from our hotel .. hmmm

I am celebrating the childhood of my two children, ages 4 and 7. They are at the age where Disney World will be magical. They are straddling that fence between their vivid imaginations and reality. They still believe in magic. I still remember at age 5 holding my father's hand as we approached Cinderella's castle. The castle was everything I had imagined in all the fairy tales. I believed that Cinderella was really somehow there. I have never forgotten that moment and I cannot wait to share it with my kids.

Ok, this just so made me cry! Then I read the rest and they all made me cry too! Not sad cry, but touching cry! It's a good thing I'm not an official Disney "What Are You Celebrating" person, I'd be boo-hooing all the time!

Here's to everyone celebrating! Life is a celebration, one moment at a time!

Just curious... what website wants to know?

When I booked on the wdw site at some point they asked what was I celebrating.

I am pretty sure when I go on to make payments there's also an option for me to type it in and update it. I will let you know when I make my next payment.

I thought you had to choose from one of the options that the website gave, so I chose "Family Reunion". My DSis & I are taking our DDs on a "girls' trip" in June.

When I booked my trip, the lady on the phone is like what are you celebrating & I could'nt think of anything special & she says, how about Aidan's return trip. Why not, just going to Disney is a celebration.:yay:

1) MY 32nd birthday
2) Father's Day
3) 1st REAL vacation trip for Steve, Jack & Emma
4) 1st REAL family vacation for us
5) Steve and I are getting married 9/5 :) YAY

I feel like celebrating that I saved all this money to go again! And that I will have the patience to book & plan everything myself--with no help from DH, our Dkids! I think that deserves "celebrating" with a few glasses of wine or Grey goose slushes! I think when I'm down there I going to be "celebrating" the kids birthdays AGAIN (they are in August & we go in November)

We aren't going until December but my youngest son will turn five while we are at Disney World.

Our last trip was Oct. 2001 -- we started planning another trip in 2005...
than: Hurricane Katrinia, DH found out he needed a hip replacement (Sep '05), I found out I was adding DS2 to the fly (Nov '05)...so planning was extended.

Finally, now that DH feels DS2 is old enough to handle (but does not think DS2 will enoy -- I think he is wrong)

We are celebrating:
DS2 1st trip to WDW
DDbf 1st trip to WDW
Family fun and being together in WDW
FINALLY going back to WDW!!!!!:rotfl:

This trip is all about our son. We are celebrating our son's first trip to Disney World. His 3rd birthday (a little early because we wanted to avoid the Memorial Day crowds), and an end to 7 months of weekly chemo.

I am taking my son to WDW to celebrate my return from an eight month deployment to Kuwait. We can't think of a better way to have fun and enjoy my return than to share in some Disney magic for a week!!!!!!!

I am celebrating turning 30 (using the term celebrate loosely though). I have been dreading 30 for many years, so I figure, what better place to turn 30 than my favorite place on Earth with my favorite people...MY WHOLE FAMILY! DS will be weeks away from 3, I'm hoping we'll be celebrating his diaper-free existence but we'll see about that, recently finished Master's Degree (Jan.), first trip as a whole family since 2002, and my 2 cousins' (3 and 5) first trip! Hmm, lets' see. I think that's about it right now. I'm sure I can come up with more things to celebrate!

Oh, actually, my cousin may be joining us with his girlfriend. Both of them active members of the Army who very recently made a safe, healthy return back to the States from Iraq...NOW THAT'S SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!!!!!

we are having an extended family vacation - as in DH, me, DDage5, DDage4, DDage1, MIL, FIL, SIL, SIL bf, & great gram. IL's have not been to Disney since shortly after EPCOT opened and great gram has not been since before EPCOT opened. This will also be our first trip "home" since we joined DVC during our last trip.

I'll be celebrating the 1st anniversary of my 29th birthday ;), DS will have turned 1yo the month before, and I'm in nursing school, and desparately need a break (and I have good grades in there!) so I'm celebrating the fact that I won't have had a nervous breakdown! :lmao:

My son turns 3 on the trip (had to go while he was still "free"). It is his first trip.

My mother-in-law turns 29 a few days before the trip. :)

I turn 28 a few days after the trip.

My DH turns 30 a few weeks after the trip.

(Hopefully) I finish graduate school (Ed.S.) a few weeks before the trip.

We're celebrating DS#1's 5th birthday. It'll also be DS#1 and DS#2's first trip to WDW.

We just finalized the adoption of your two boys. After 2 1/2 years in state care (YIKES!) they are now ours forever. After awful care (coming to us with ringworm and headlice), they are GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!

What an amazing blessing!
