What Are You Celebrating?? Air Conditioning!! A July 2010 TR UPDATE 12/11 p24

Mmmm, love those cinnamon rolls from the bakery! :lovestruc

Uh oh, is there trouble brewing? :rolleyes1

No, it's not what you're thinking!
Yum! I really want to try breakfast in the castle next trip!

I would recommend it!

Actually, I prefer the bigger size 'cause it's easier to see. :thumbsup2

Well, you never know what you're going to get here! I might just leave them as is.
Love the first day of school pic!

Thanks!

Happy first day of school! The girls look very cute. I hear you about the weather. We're on Lake Michigan and the wind is horrible.

Sounds like you had a fun morning at MK. Someday I'd like to make it to am EMHs. Beautiful pictures of the castle. There is just something magical about the experience. Did your girls enjoy the wishing ceremony? DD wished for a Snow White doll and was quite sad that one didn't appear. But, 4 months later the doll magically appeared for Christmas. ;)

I will do replies shortly but first a brief interruption:

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! :teacher:

DSCN2718.jpg

I had taken separate pictures with little signs with the date and grade (so I don't forget when I'm scrapbooking it 5 years later!) and they were fussing with each other. I told them to act like they liked each other! Paige went for it!
It was so cold and windy here this morning - definitely felt more like October! I'm home today and mixed up some cookie dough to bake this afternoon for them - aren't I a great mom?? HA! It just worked out that I could work from home today. Usually I have to rush in late after I see them off to the bus.
I decided I would be productive today - ironing, make these bulletin boards for the trading pins, download pictures to a portable hard drive, get a haircut...We'll see how much I get done!

Hope you got lots done!! :) The girls look adorable! IT was super cold, windy AND rainy here today! Brrrrr.....ALMOST made me turn on the furnace! :lmao:

I had to laugh that Ms Kimmy of all people is complaining that you're taking too long between posts. :rotfl:

Thanks!
I laughed too - her report is from January! At least mine was less than two months ago! Really, I haven't even been home a month! Seems longer.

Hey Now! :flower3: I wasn't complaining! :confused3 Just teasing is all! :flower3: That is the one thing I really dislike about these forums - it is so hard to tell what emotions really are!! :) Honest, I wasn't meaning to be impatient! Just teasing a little bit! Sorry if I seemed rude - didn't mean to be!

Girl!! I love their picture!!! How cute!!!! And Kim(canada)..we knew you were picking!! But yeah...it is hard to read peoples tone's sometimes!! i have went back and erased things because I wasn't sure how it would be read.....probably didn't have to most of the time, but you never know!!!

Oh Kim - I knew you were joking! I just did the same to you on your TR!

I do sometimes feel like I need to choose my words more carefully when typing because you can't get the tone. That's why smilies are helpful!

The day went great for both girls. We went out to dinner at IHOP - turns out kids eat free on Tuesdays! So that was good. Struggling to get them to bed now. Sarah is definitely the drama queen.

We had a roast chicken last night so we had plenty of yummy chicken left over!!! mmmmm, chicken!!! :)

Excellent update and the back to school pic of the girls is so darn cute.

Loved you description of CRT and all the pictures. It looks like such a nice meal for young girls or for anyone. Its definitely something I would like to do. I want to go back there with Denny if we ever do the DxDP again.

Jasmine - every dad's favorite - isn't that the truth! ;)

Just starting to read your report, but saw the pics of the girls on the first day of school, so cute! :teacher:Good luck to them! Hubby works for Minneapolis public school system they started last week and they dont get out any earlier, strange. Gotta go catch up....

Caught up now. CRT looks so pretty and the girls look to have enjoyed it.

Love the pic of the girls first day of school!

I would  to eat at CRT. We went for Akershus last time because the ressies were so much easier to get and the cost wasn't quite as prohibitive.

Last time I got to eat in the castle was before it was a character meal, and back when it was called King Stephan's. Why Princess Aurora's father had a dining hall in Cinderella's castle, I'll never know. :lmao:

Your girls are beautiful, they were looking great for their first day of school! :goodvibes

Awww Kimmy! Sorry if I called you out and made you worry. I was poking fun too and I know you're used to the sarcasm- we've all "met" your DH . See- that there is a compliment that you're married to such a funny guy and you're used to the humor, not an insult. It is hard sometimes to make sure what you're typing won't come across in the wrong way. I'm a sarcastic person and joke around lots. Just my nature. It's gotten me in trouble in the past. :rolleyes1

I'm coming out of lurkdom to say hi to a fellow Minnesotan! Enjoying your TR and looking forward to more.

Yeah, we lucked out with that deal! Ooh, roast chicken sounds good.

Aww, thanks! I enjoyed the CRT breakfast. It's hard to believe we'd never done it with two little girls!
Yeah, DH was glad to see Jasmine and all the dads' eyes seemed to follow her around!

:welcome: Minneapolis always does their own thing right?
Thanks for saying the girls were cute! I think so too. First couple of days have gone well, although I heard that DD7 and a friend have had to be separated during quiet reading. She claims the friend was talking. Hmmm, right.

Caught up now. CRT looks so pretty and the girls look to have enjoyed it.

Love the pic of the girls first day of school!
Yeah, we liked CRT. It's really a lovely setting.
Thanks on the pic. That was amongst the pushing and shoving - I managed to get them to act nice for a minute!

I would  to eat at CRT. We went for Akershus last time because the ressies were so much easier to get and the cost wasn't quite as prohibitive.
Yeah, the price is too much - you're paying for the location and atmosphere. I was able to get my ADR right at 180 days. There were lots of times available for our week then.

Last time I got to eat in the castle was before it was a character meal, and back when it was called King Stephan's. Why Princess Aurora's father had a dining hall in Cinderella's castle, I'll never know. :lmao:
:laughing:Good point!!
Your girls are beautiful, they were looking great for their first day of school! :goodvibes
Thank you! And if I haven't officially done so, :welcome:

Great first day of school pics. And CRT looks wonderful! :cloud9:
Thanks! We liked it a lot!

I'm the same way!! And I have actually met Kim and her DH - they are great and fun people who definitely can take a joke! I have to watch my mouth sometimes - my kids don't understand sarcasm (they should for how much they hear it from me!) yet and take things the wrong way!

I'm coming out of lurkdom to say hi to a fellow Minnesotan! Enjoying your TR and looking forward to more.

:welcome: I love your DIS name. Do you actually have twins or are you a Twins fan (or both?). Thanks for joining in. I hope to get another update done by the weekend.

Look what my friends at work made for me (belated birthday present!) They are a couple of my co-workers who are also dating and are super nice! They listen to me talk Disney ALL the time!

Both - I have 8-year-old twin boys and we are Minnesota Twins fans. What a great season it has been! Can't wait for the post-season!

Love the Mickey cake - what great friends you have who respect (and encourage) your love of Disney. :cool1:
