What are we doing wrong??

....but please don't give up! You can still get this PIN. Here's my suggestion. Register with disneyworld.com with a different email (husband's or significant other's for instance). Clear all cookies from your web browser. Make sure you allow pop ups from disneyworld.com (i.e., disable the pop up blocker). Save up to 5 packages under "saved offers." Play around with various packages (hotels, tickets, dining plan, etc). Make sure you have them set to the dates you want to travel. At some point before you leave the website a pop up survey will show up. Answer it with the option "still planning my trip, not ready to book." There is a place where you can write more reasons. You might say you are hoping for some sort of offer for your travel dates. If you have the opportunity to chat with a Live CM, do so. Most importantly, keep trying for as long as it takes. We almost gave up and then the PIN showed up in our email. Oh! I almost forgot, make sure you read all emails from Disney Destination. The PIN we received looked like some sort of advertisement for one of the resorts in our saved offers. When I scrolled down and read the fine print, I realized I had a 15 digit PIN code for 20%, 30%, 40% attached to the email.

Check all your emails including your spam folder and read the fine print. Here's pixie dust for all! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

great tips, thank you to!
i just did everything you said, wish me luck to please :yay:

I have done all everyone has suggested, but I never get the exit survey and I never get the live chat popup. Weird.....is it because I use a Mac?

It is totally a mystery as to who gets and who doesn't.Up until this year ( 22 trips and counting) I had never ever gotten one. This year I have gotten 4.My SIL who owns DVC and goes several times a year gets them all the time.My neighbor who went once 2 years ago( and has NO deisre to go back) gets them all the time...It is seemingly random , but Disney apparantly has a system for it.

^^^ I'm using a Mac right now, though I've used my PC at work too. I didn't get the exit survey or the Live Chat window until I disabled the pop-up blocker in both computers. Make sure you've set your computer to "always alow pop-ups" from disneyworld.com

Also, I would go into your saved trips and cancel one and then close out. Anser the survey thing as the other people suggested. Once I did that I received the pin code for D. Destinations. Good luck!

PearlySwan: How do you "always allow popups" from disneyworld.com? Are you using Safari or another browser?

Thanks for your help!

^^^ Hi Amy: On your Apple computer look on the top bar. You'll see the little Apple tab. The next one should be "Safari." Click that one. The first option should be "About Safari." The second option should be "Report Bugs to Apple..." The third one should be "Preferences." The fourth one should be "Block Pop-Up Windows." If you have a check mark on it, then you've blocked all pop ups, including disneyworld.com's pop ups. Make sure you don't have a check mark on the "Block Pop-Up Windows" tab by clicking on it.

The only other thing I would suggest, is trying to do this using a PC. Do you have access to one at work? If not, then perhaps you can go to your local library. They usually have PCs in their computer rooms.

Wishing you tons of pixie dust! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

I was also wondering about the pin number since I have never received any. We have stayed multiple times at various resorts, often for extended stays.

After reading some of the posts here, the answer may be that Disney knows we are coming anyway, so why offer a discount.

I have been trying to get a PIN code as well. I have received them in the past (in fact, we used a 40% code for our last trip in August, 2008 - ten nights at the Poly).

I know for our 2010 trip, we will not be staying on site without a very substantial discount. WDW may know we are coming (this will be our 8th trip since 2002 and we have always stayed on site in deluxe hotels), but WDW will need to react to the incredible deals already being offered at the various off site deluxe hotels. I can barely justify the extra $100 or so a night between a WDW deluxe hotel and an off site suite (this difference assumes a 40% code), but there is no way I will pay the $200 or greater difference that currently exists (even with a AAA discount of about 15%). Right now, it is Caribe Suites here we come!
