What are the value rooms at AKV?

I can see that these rooms are a separate category on the points chart, but I can't find a floor plan or description of these rooms on either The Timeshare Store's site or on the official Disney site.

Just wondering how these differ from the standard AKV rooms. Size? What do they overlook?

Thanks all!

Kerri

The difference is their size. I believe they are 3 feet shorter. The living area is shorter, not the kitchen, bathroom/sink area. They could have a savannah, pool or parking lot view. They are only in Jambo house, Kidani will not have any value villas.

316 sg ft studio v. 366 for other classes of studios; 629 sg ft 1BR as opposed to be about 710 sg ft all others at Jambo house (they will be 807 sg ft at Kidani). Difference in size is noticeably significant. All value villas, which are limited in number, are at the front part of Jambo (current AKL) and views as noted above can be lot, pool, or savanna. View requests for a value can be made but are not guaranteed.

Last February we were in a studio value room for one night. It was good for one night, but I probably would not want to stay more than three nights in a room that small. It's not so much the small room as the large furnishings. Everything was very tight, especially when the couch was converted to a bed. We had the parking lot view, but you still get to enjoy the great amenities of the lodge!

Overall, the studio value rooms are a good bang for the buck!

Here's the map to look at!

Just wondering how the AKV value rooms compare in size to WDW's hotel rooms?

If you compared a value room to a moderate resort, would it be on the same level? Bigger? Smaller? (And what about those large furnishings?)

Thanks.

Moderates have rooms in the 315 sg ft range, so size of Value studio is comparable to them. Furnishings in value make it seem smaller than those (particularly when you pull out couch to make it a bed) because they basically put in the same furnishings as the regular size rooms at AKV, including a queen size bed rather double size that you have at moderates. Plus, of course, there is the mini-kitchen that takes up some space.

We just got back this past May from AKV studio value. Although it was a bit small, me and my family of 4 had no problems. We loved it! We got lucky and had savanna view, it was truly amazing! Good luck with your next vacation!
