I understand that the BWV is rated the 5th highest time share by Tug???? Would someone please let me know what the top 4 are? Thanks.

I think it's pretty impressive that 4 of the DVC resorts are in TUG's top 20 ratings!!

1. Four Seasons Troon North, Scottsdale, AZ
2. Four Seasons Resort Club Aviara, Carlsbad, CA
3. Disney Villa of Wilderness Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL
4. Royal Caribbean, Cancun, MX
5. Disney Boardwalk Villas, Lake Buena Vista, FL
6. Royal Islander, Cancun, MX
7. Royal Sands, Cancun, MX 9.60
8. Royal Mayan, Cancun, MX
9. St. James Place, Beaver Creek, Co
10. Disney Old Key West Resort, Lake Buena Vista, FL

17. Disney Hilton Head Resort

Thanks for the information, I appreciate it. Do you know where the BCV stands in this rating?

Note that also in terms of ratings, VB comes in tied with the #26 resorts with the 9.20 score; there are perhaps 8-10 other resorts with this rating.

The TuG top 30 list only covers resorts with at least 10 member ratings, so BCV does not yet show up here (tho notably it is in the 9.43 range, so below top 10 for now).

Patty,

Unfortunately, BCV is not included in the Top 30 listing.

But only because as pumpkinboy already stated. It just doesn't have enough reviews to qualify. If it did, it would be tied for #13.

It did seem kind of odd that BVC would be the only on-site property that did not make it on the list -- thanks for the explanation!

TUG ratings are a great tool but one must know how they are done. They allow members and non members to rate the resorts. And for BWV and OKW, there are more exchangers and less for VWL and BCV For top resorts, it tends to be mostly members rating since there is rarely much exchange activity. HH and VB both used to be lower than they are so both have increased somewhat. Expect BCV to come in solidly around the top 15 or so, maybe into the top 10 eventually. I doubt SSR will make it into the top 20 but we'll see. Remember there are other top resorts out there that also don't have a full 10 reviews, particularly a number of top Marriott's and others. There are likely about 4 or 5 that will be in the top 10-20 very soon and reshuffle the group.

So don't put too much stock into the exact ratings, they don't mean that much overall. And remember that even the number one resort may not fit every persons needs very well. Timesharing Today has not rated the DVC resorts but they have a somewhat different rating of the resorts they do rate.

I am confused. If one were to go with your above explanation; then how come VWL, which has fewer rooms which results in fewer DVC members/fewer DVC pts/fewer exhanges; could have a higher rating then BWV and OKW?

Fewer exchanges means a higher percent of owners rating. Owners, tend to rate their resort higher than exchangers.

Ok, now I understand. Thanks for the explanation.
