Unless I come into a lot of money, when I do get to go to Disney world I doubt I'll stay here, but would love to hear about it.

I was never planning to stay there and then last Fall the resort I was booked at was undergoing construction on the floor that I was assigned to. I got moved to the Grand and was hooked! We are taking my two little Princesses who live down the street wit us on our next trip, and we are booked here. It is absolutely gorgeous! The service, the amenities and the proximity to MK and Epcot are wonderful.

Pros
Convenience, but not as convenient as The Contemporary.
Large, well appointed rooms.
Great dining in the resort.

Cons
Price

Yes, that price is a huge CON! I had originally booked POFQ for our August trip, but my DH wants the little Princesses to "be in Disney" which as I said, is on the monorail. So....we are paying for the Grand, but he has had to promise not to once complain about that pricetag! LOL!

It's nice to hear such wonderful things about GF. I'm currently "obsessing" about where I stay when I go. I'm watching videos of all the resorts on YouTube. So much to choose from.

Stayed last August and the resort is wonderful! The staff is very friendly, the resort grounds are beautiful and at night it so beautiful to watch wishes from the resort..we loved the convenience to Magic Kingdom, which is where we spent most of our time.

Pros - convenience to monorail, beautiful grounds, character dining on site (1900 Park Fare). Con - obviously the price. But, you can rent points from a DVC owner to cut it down significantly. Originally we were going to stay at Port Orleans in one of the Royal Guest Rooms (decorated like Princess and Frog) and then figured out by renting DVC points we could stay at GF for not much more per night (about 330 including taxes).

It's very nice if you are comfortable with the price. The resort is beautiful but there are cons. Not enough umbrellas at the pools, the busses take too long, the monorail breaks down or has a reduced schedule causing the boats to have a long line.
I stayed there twice and enjoyed it, however, with the Cons if it was too much of a budget stretch I would have been stressed.
