What are the photos like?

I’ve cruised on lots of lines but never on Disney. One of my souvenirs for myself are the ship’s photos like ports, formal night, etc. Are there any big differences with DLC photos from other lines? Just wondering if there are any special tips I need to know. I usually buy packages on other lines the first night of the cruise.

Thanks!

You can start with the first backdrop before you go on to the ship. It will have a border saying the ship and date.

They have a lot of backdrops set up at dinner times. Some more formal , pirate night ones, if you watch the app they do Magic photos too that will add the characters in the picture when you look at them.

The photographers are with the characters as well , the handlers not the photographer will take a picture with your phone if you want to be in them. You can take them of your kids, just let the photographer take his first.

The photographers also come in the dinning rooms on Formal, semi formal and Pirate night.

Definitely no shortage of photo opportunities. I have a lot of scrap books of pictures when the kids were small.

This is one we just got on our last cruise a couple weeks ago.

I’ll add to PP’s answer that, on some excursions, a photographer will show up. While we never encountered one in the Caribbean, we have some excursion pictures from stops in Europe and Alaska. Photographers are also available at specific spots on CC, and some walk round the beach.

But the process is the same as other lines? They take photos and put them somewhere for you to view and then you buy them?

Yes - that is the same

On all my recent cruises on other lines, they still printed photos to be put on display. DCL only displays them on computer screens

You can also pre-purchase packages and digitally download the photos when you get home now. Photobooks are also offered.
