Yes, I meant that if you didn't want to lose the piercing I didn't think you could just take it out for an even longer time than earrings, when you first get them pierced.

It is sad about the guy that died. I didn't read the article so I don't know specifics.

Well he had his done for about 5 years, so with tongues it doesn't really matter when you take them out, they just heal super fast. With other places they don't heal ever.....and with gauging you have to actually have your ears clipped and reconstructed. No thank YOU! LOL
