We have a reservation for dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe 9/24 at 7:35---our flight lands at 6:20----we are taking DME--- to Port Orleans French Quarter....what are the odds we will make this reservation?

I also have a reservation for the WCC the 25th so we would not be missing our favorite dinner should we not make it on time but this would mean giving up another favorite---Tony's. I could possibly die if I have to go a whole trip without Tony's Lemon walnut cake.

Would it be possible to take DME to WL even though we are staying at POFQ?

You may not take DME to a resort except the resort you are staying at.

The odds are less than five percent you will make it to Wilderness Lodge in time. And that is with skipping (procrastinating on) check in and immediatelly hoppint a cab from French Quarter to WL

In my opinion your odds are slim to none. The average time on DME from airport to hotel is approximately 70-90 minutes. Then you have to go from your hotel to the WL for you dining reservation which involves catching multiple buses or a bus and a boat.

Nope, you can only take it to the resort you are staying at. I don't think your chances are good at making the reservation that close to arrival.

I would say the odds are nil. You should try to get a later ADR....about 8:30. If you end up getting there earlier you can always ask to be seated ASAP.

To be really honest I think even 8:30 could be pushing it.

Thanks everyone...you just re-inforced my own thought but you know----I was hoping maybe I was wrong. I think we will do WCC on the 25th and try to pop into Tony's at an off hour for some dessert. Now I just have to figure out what to do with that extra TS. Maybe an extra early breakfast at Animal Kingdom.

You also have to keep in mind for the future that even if your flight lands on time, and many don't, that the 6:20 time is not the time you'll be leaving the airport. You have to get off the plane, make your way through the terminal, get to transportation and get to your destination. Never would have happened in your time frame.

Yep...it's a 25-30 minute drive just from the airport to WDW.
