what are the odds of VWL through DVC

We may be looking into the dvc but only want WL and cannot buy through resale,want to finance through disney due to financial reasons. WHat are the odds that they will have WL available at the amount of points we want...

if they didnt have it will the go after it for us on say timesharestore where there are some available and ROFR them , buy em back and sell to us?

I just bought 150 points from Disney at WVL and was waitlisted for less than 3 weeks.

DVC won't actively seek-out a contract to just fulfill the needs of folks waiting for points.

If a contract presented to DVC is deemed to fall within their mysterious buyback standards, they will take it. But they won't change those standards just to get you the points you are waiting for.

We just bought points for VWL through a resale (170 pts) and am VERY glad they didn't use their ROFR. We only wanted to get our points at VWL as well. It sure is a GREAT place!!!! I thought it would take a LONG time for the points to be available through Disney so we went that route. I understand though if for financing purposes you feel the need to use Disney directly. Hope you get your wish!!!

well...what are the circumstances for doing through resale aside from the closing costs.....Where and how is the financing done? like would we have to finance 100% through a home equity or personal loan thing ..or does resale allow 10% 20% 30%...etc down and finance the rest

we just dont think we can come up with a TON of money so we were gonna do the put a certain percent down with disney directly....if u can do that for resale then i may reconsider

There is a mortgage company that finances timeshares... www.tammac.com You can check them out and see if that is the way you want to go.
