I have a friend going next week. Staying offsite, only going to the parks for 3days. She had no idea you had to make reservations for character meals. She thought they could just walk in and eat :lmao:

I've been looking for her, and I actually got her a 7:30am at Cape May on Sunday. I booked it for her and sent her the information, so hopefully it's not too early for her. I have no idea where they are staying, so hopefully it's not like an hour away from Disney!

I'm checking back everyday for a better time anywhere, but no such luck yet.

When we there during Thanksgiving week last year, I was able to change/make reservations throughout the week. I had my laptop and internet card so I was able to do it daily. There were many days that had availability. I ended up cancelling several breakfasts and wanted to free up the time for others. I was surprised how much was available.

and miss. I had a friend that went down a couple of weeks ago at this time with no ADRs. One evening she called and had an early and late breakfast time available for Tusker House.

Since your friend will be in the Orlando area, you could give her the Disney Dining phone number and a list of character meals and she can call cheaply to see if anything last minute is available.

yay!!! Now I got her a Cape May for 9:15 - much better time and I also booked her a Crystal Palace at 10:15 so she can choose which one she wants. I had to use two different email address' since with one it said I had conflicting reservations.

Just keep checking - I've been doing the same thing today! We're going this weekend but changed our park plans a little bit. I was able to get Crystal Palace after two days of trying, but then had to cancel. Then I kept trying to get better times at Bluezoo and it finally worked. now I'm working on Prime Time Cafe for this Monday for lunch - no luck yet but we have a big group of 6!

Good luck!

During this time last year I actually managed to get Chef Mickey the night before we wanted to go...I called, and called, and called...the CMs were so great. :)

This summer I managed to get an O'hana's breakfast a few days before we went...

It can be done, just keep trying!

The only place I wouldn't bother trying is Cindy's...that place is almost always booked right out to the 180 day mark.

This past December we had a open night and I called just to see what might be available for dinner. Believe it or not we got 'OHana at 7pm. This was during a very busy week in early December so there is always hope! IT never hurts to call and check the day of.
