What are the odds .. CRT ...

I'm planning a last minute trip with my kids in December and the 14th will be my daughter's birthday; what are the odds I would luck up with CRT reservations regardless of time on that day? Slim to none or should I just check everyday and see what I can get?

I would definitely keep checking every day! We didn't book our trip for next week until September, so we were significantly past the 180 day mark. I didn't get anything at first, but then landed a CRT reservation but it was a bit on the late side for little ones (9:30 PM). We took it anyway, and I just kept on checking pretty much every day....when, voila! Yesterday afternoon, I got an earlier reservation on a better day for us! I was very surprised and excited, but it seems to be fairly common that people score reservations closer to their trip date if they stay persistant (at least from a lot of the posts I've read here). Call daily--- and maybe even call 2 times a day--- They will LOVE you tfor that !

the 31 day mark might be a day when you would have good luck. That is the point when DVC memners anc aceancel their reservations at resorts without penalty. So , a fair amount of cancellations misght crop up that day- I woul dcall a lots on teh 34th, 33rd, 32nd, 31st and 30 ths before the day you wnat---

Also, check on Akershus at Epcot--- they have GREAT princess dining in a small castle like setting---

That's awesome! I'm hoping something like that happens with us because I know she would really love to eat in a castle for her birthday. I will definitely be checking back everyday to see what I can find ... I've checked 5 times in the last 30 minutes )

While already at WDW on my trip this past August, I called twice a day for 2 days and was able to get a reservation for 4 for dinner the next night at 8PM. Just keep trying. People do cancel and things do open up.

And yes, there is still hope
I was able to book a CRT dinner for our trip in December just an hour ago!
And it's the perfect time and date

I have also had success in booking an ADR at the castle close to our trip, so keep trying! I just kept calling in everyday (I was obsessive really, so it's ok if you are too!), asking for cancelations and one day I got lucky...and I even got a good time

I just cancelled a CRT for our x-mas trip a few hours ago.

IMO with the poor food quality, over priced meal and rushed out the door feeling you will see openings! Good Luck ...........
