What are the "must snag" things to get at midnight when signing in?

My sign up date is coming up and we still haven't decided on a bunch of things. So I'm wondering what must I know I want and what can I wait a few weeks to sign up for? We're on the Fantasy, Western.

List that comes to my mind of 'must do immediately':
  • Ideal PAT
  • Princess meet and greet
  • Palo brunch
  • Sports simulator
Anything else? Maybe some spa items? If so, which ones go quickly?

Are there any excursions that are so high demand that I need to get them done ASAP?

For me it was the PAT and the cabana, which I did not get. After that, Palo brunch and tastings. Not to fear if you don’t get them. When you get on board, you will probably have ample opportunity.

make sure you have passport numbers, flight numbers etc., hand for your check in in order to finish and get your preferred PAT. I didn’t have flights yet and had to fudge a bit on my post cruise plans, but it worked out and I was able to change it later. Had to reprint everything. NBD. Just food for thought.

We have driven, so I didn't think about flights. Is that required if you're making all your own arrangements?

The site wanted to know where we were going post cruise and was very specific about wanting flight numbers when I checked the airport box. I unchecked and added the Hyatt MCO address as my post cruise destination. A week later, when I finally bought my flights, I edited the check in info to reflect the flight numbers. We are takimg Disney transfers, but the page wanted to know where we were going beyond the airport itself and how we intended to get there, for “emergency purposes.”

We're doing our 2nd WC on the Fantasy in Jan. First time we did this cruise we were silver and were able to get Palo brunch, character breakfast, and meets with no problems. Some of the tastings were gone, but we got Mixology which is the one I wanted. This upcoming cruise we are gold and everything was available. The only excursion that became sold out this time was the Cabana one at Cozumel. It didn't become sold out until after silver or first timers booked. All others are still available for our cruise, we leave in 39 days. Cabanas at CC are always sold out, but I don't try to get one, so that doesn't matter to us. If you are silver or higher you shouldn't have any trouble waiting, I'd decide before first timers book though. Seems onboard stuff gets taken before excursions.

Totally forgot character breakfast. Thanks.

Can I skip the flights and addresses or do I have to put something to move forward?

As I recall if you say you are going to MCO you have to put the flight # in. Having said that, you can always look up a random afternoon flight out of MCO, put it in, and then put the correct flight in later. The nice part last time I did check in was that when I went in at 8pm I could do the check in, and then at midnight go straight to Palo reservations.

What is WC?

Where can I find a list of all the things we can possibly book on our cruise? I am not at our 75-day yet so I can't see what is available.

It really depends on the sailing and what the mix of first time, silver, gold and platinum is. Our first cruise was booked IGT, after everyone had been able to book activities and we had no trouble getting Palo brunch. Didn't try for tastings. This next cruise is a Panama Canal which has a lot more Gold and Platinums so brunch was sold out before we could book as silver.

So when seeking out or sharing stories about booking things as a first timer or silver keep in mind that it is very sailing dependent. Before you book I suggest asking on your cruise group what is sold out and what is available before your window opens so you have the right expectations. Stressing out about checking in right at midnight isn't going to make a difference if the things you want are sold out before your window opens.

But also, even if things do sell out, don't despair. Since our window opened I've been able to add two tastings. Still looking for Palo brunch but it won't make or break our cruise if we don't get it. Much like ADRs and FPs at WDW, these forums can make it seem like getting all the reservations is critical to having a good time and I assure you that you will have a fantastic cruise even if you can't book everything you want.

Can we wait to book this excursion (Atlantis Beach Day & Discovery Atlantis (N07) once we board the ship or does it book up ahead of time?

In order for the Port Arrival Page to open, you must have "completed" all previous pages. Now, "completed" just means that all the blank windows must be filled in. Whether the info you enter in those windows is correct, or not, matters not. Only that there's SOMETHING entered.
