My brother, sister and I are discussing buying a timeshare togethor but I can't find any information on maintaince fees. I don't even want to go to a presentation until I have all the facts. We are all disney fanactics so it wouldn't take much pressure to buy. In the past we have enjoyed military discounts but my husband is getting out of the army in a few months. Has anyone on here bought a resale. There seem be some good deals. Forgive my ignorance about everything because I just started looking into this.

Feel free to ask plenty of questions! There is a FAQ section on this site that is a good start FAQ and you can also go to www.disneyvacationclub.com to get official info. Feel free to send for the info packet. Everything is very low pressure and no one will hound you.

The yearly dues are charged "per point" and include Capital, Operating and Taxes. They are different for each resort. By Florida law, they can't go up more than 15% per year. However, the history of DVC has been that they stay fairly constant....sometimes even going down.

The 2002 dues are:
OKW - $3.22
BWV - $3.92
VWL - $3.80
BCV - $3.77
HHI - $3.49
Vero - $4.17

You certainly won't feel much "pressure" when you talk to the DVC salepersonnel. Seems that they are the least pushy people in a very pushy industry.

Many people have done resales. Disney treats you exactly the same as if you buy through them. One of the popular resellers sponsors this board. You can click on the banner at top to see some of the deals.

Good luck!
