what are the different views at the GC?

and what are they of? like a standard view...what would that normally be?

A standard view would probably be of the front entrance of the hotel or of the courtyard.

There is also a Downtown Disney view, in which you are directly above DTD. This is probably my favorite view.

Then there is the theme park view, in which you have a view of California Adventure. We've had this type of view twice. The first time we had a view of Paradise Pier in the distance with the pool below us. The second time we had a view of the area by Grizzly River Run, with Tower of Terror and Grizzly Peak in the background.

I stayed there a couple years ago and had a theme park view, which I really enjoyed. We were on one of the wings, the pool was directly below, and to the right we could see quite a bit of DCA. We could see the top of Grizzly Peak, and all of Paradise Pier (the sun wheel and California Screamin').

While I would probably spring for the theme park view again, BF and I walked around the entire resort and agreed that we would have been happy with any view. Even the rooms that overlook the front entrance would be nice because there are lots of trees (although if you call them they will probably just refer to it as a "parking lot view").

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rooms here.

We had a "courtyard view". We could see trees and the monorail sped through right below us. I didn't care for this view. But the hotel was sold out all four nights and we were stuck. It is a beautiful hotel but I wish we would have paid for the DTD view as we would have enjoyed that much more (it was Christmas time). We had booked standard views before at DLH and PP and been upgraded, but our luck ran out on this trip.
