What are the crowds like in August?

What are the crowds like in August? We are trying to figure out when we will be able to plan our next vacation and it is looking like maybe the middle of August but I have never been at that time. Are the crowds as bad as April or Dec? What about the heat is it bearable? Well any help would be great Thanks!

We were there August 13th-18th this year. I did not think that the crowds were that bad, of course, that was my first time going in August. I actually thought that it was less crowded than the 3 June trips that I've done. It was hot, though. I much prefer December over August, but we were taking DD(16) for her birthday, which is in August. We also had free dining, so that was a BIG plus! You just need to be at the parks at opening and have a plan, just like any other time of the year at Disney.

I have been there 3 times during the last week of August. The crowds are very low. It is walk on to almost all the rides, except the most popular like Soarin, EE, & Test track.

Yeah - it's hot, but you just deal with it. It's a great time to visit a water park.

It rains at least once a day for a brief period. Bring ponchos.
