What are the chances?

We are probably about a week away from closing our contract at Villas at Wilderness Lodge (yea!!!) and I've been furiously reading this board in an attempt to plan our first vacation!

Here's what I'm thinking - We've purchased 150 points with an April use year. By banking our 2002 points and borrowing from our 2004 points, we are wanting to take our extended family on a nice trip in early December 2003 (as an early Christmas present). I've worked out the points and we could actually get three 2 bedroom villas and 1 studio for 4 nights with our point allotment.

Here's the question - What are the chances of actually getting three 2 bedrooms and 1 studio for 4 nights (Sunday - Wednesday night) in terms of availability? I can book at the 11 month window since this is my home resort.

well if you call first thing in the morning and day by day for the reservations I think you would have a good chance of getting them.

Yes early Dec is busy for DVC members, but calling at the 11month window you have a better chance than waiting and running the risk of no availability.

Are the 2002 points already banked? If not, you can only bank 50% at this point. I would call day by day to make sure you get all 4 rooms you need. For example, call on January 2 for Dec 1, January 3 for Dec 2, etc. You shouldn't have a problem.

Your chances are excellent, especially if you call day by day for the reservations at 11 months from check out date. Call just before 9 and run through the automated system until 9 and you should get right through!

Anything is possible. As mentioned, call daily and you shouldn't have any problems.
