What are the chances?

Quick question for all of you experts. After mulling it over for years, we finally pulled the trigger and put an offer on VWL. Just went into ROFR and probably won't close until mid to late April. We have a 9 night stay already booked at BCV (regular room/cash) for late August and are wondering what are chances will be that a 1 bedroom will be available at a DVC resort (preferably VWL, BCV or BWI) at that time so we can cancel our existing reservation and use our points.

Welcome Home You never know about availability until you call. But don't discount OKW...the largest DVC rooms. Also it is great to ride the boat to DD.

When I bought DVC in 2009, we weren't able to make our mid August vacation reservations until April. I was able to get studios at both BWV and VWL.

There was also availabilty at AKV and SSR. We did not have luck with BCV. I have heard that 1 bedrooms book last so I think you have a chance to get something.

The only probably you may have is getting all 9 nights at just one resort at this point. You may end up having to split stay. But, you can wait list things as well.

Just adding another voice to those above, but I think you should be able to snag some semblance of rooms at this late date. You might have to settle for a split stay as Sandi mentioned, but I'm guessing there will be some availability somewhere. Good luck!
