What are the chances?

Friends are going to be at WDW for 9 nights 11/2-11/11. I just called and the only resort with a studio available for any stretch of nights is SSR. I was able to book the nights of 11/2-11/5 & 11/7-11/11. They are waitlisted for a studio for the night of 11/6. What are the chances they'll get it? I know it's Food & Wine Fest time, but I don't recall that time of year being particularly busy before.

Well, your dates include Jersey Week and so that's probably why everything at the the DVC resorts is already full. I think you have a reasonable chance of getting the 11/6 night since it's the only night you need. Good luck.

If you haven't already, see if you can get that missing night on cash via MS so you have a place to sleep that night. MS may even have one available for a discount. I think there is still some developer inventory for SSR, so it's a possibility. If MS books the cash night, they can link it to your points reservations so that you don't have to move.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I don't know if they'd be willing to pay $315 for that one night when we are renting the points to them for approx $135/night, but if that's the only way for them to get a room that night, maybe they'd be willing to do it. The other option is to book a 1-bedroom for that night, but then they would have to move twice during their trip.
