My head is just spinning reading the WL thread! We arrive Sunday night and have ressies booked with FW for 8 nights.

My question, what are the chances of us getting a room at an AP rate for a few nights at WL? Have any of you resort hopped? We went with FW because of the nice cabins and kitchens, etc. With three little ones under age 4, it is very handy This will be our second stay there in a year. But after reading the thread I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to check out WL. For those with young kids, is it a pain to not have a kitchen? I haven't even talked to DH about this, and maybe it would be to big a pain to split our stay. What are your thoughts? We may try to go again the end of November - maybe we could check it out then.

It's probably too late to get an AP rate but you could call and ask. Although I think you'd be more comfortable and have more room at the cabins. If it were me, I'd just go have dinner at Whispering Canyon and just check it out instead of staying there.

WL is a wonderful resort for young children! It's the most "compact" of the deluxe resorts.

Keep trying!!! It will be *so worth it* if you get your reservations!!

I agree with Kimberle, go for it, you may just get what you request. You will love The Wilderness Lodge.

I've stayed at both and I'd have to say with 3 kids under 4 the cabins offer the kitchen and more room so you can have some privacy. We've stayed at the cabins when our children were very young so we wouldn't have to worry about eating all of our meals out and there was enough room inside for the kids to unwind. I would say to visit the WL and check it out but the cabin is a great choice at this time. WL is great too but we stayed there when the kids were slightly older. This just worked for us.
