We are going to Disney in August - the 8th - the 15th. I would like to know what are you #1 shows to attend and at what park?

Thanks!

I have three princess obsessed daughters, one who is also a HUGE Disney JR fan. Ages 5,8,& 9.

My two fav's are: Turtle Talk with Crush @ EPCOT and Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor @ Magic Kingdom. :rotfl2:

If you go to Turtle Talk, have your kids think of a question they would like to ask. With The Laugh Floor, you can text a clean joke and they might put it into the show. :woohoo:

Monsters Inc Laugh Floor at MK is so cute, love it. But my fave in all of Disney is Festival of the Lion King at AK. The performers, the acrobats, all so very cool.

And I don't even like the movie Lion King :scared1: So you know the show must be good.

I second The Beauty and the Beast in HS, that's a good show- and I'm going in August as well and looking forward to seeing the Festival of the Lion King in AK for the first time, I heard it was pretty good.

I'm sure everyone will have different answers here.

#1) Animal Kingdom, Festival of the Lion King. It BLEW me away!

#2) Animal Kingdom, Finding Nemo. I cried, really lol

#3) Disney Hollywood Studios, Lights Motors Action, it is a great show, especially if you have little boys. Pretty entertaining for the um BIG boys too lol.

#4) Disney Hollywood Studios, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the effects make the show!

#5) Magic Kingdom, Philharmagic. In my opinion, the best 4D presentation in all of Disney World.

#6) Magic Kingdom, Monsters Inc. It is pretty funny. First time, I was half asleep, they put me up as the guy who doesn't think this is funny lol.

Totally agree with all except #3 haven't seen the show.

We'll also be there in August!! Our family favorite is the Lion King at Animal Kingdom. It just has something for everyone: the music is obviously fantastic, but it also has acrobats, aerialists, a fire eater, a sword thrower....what more could you look for in a show??!!

My faves are the Festival of the Lion King & Finding Nemo - both at AK!

I just saw Finding Nemo this past year at AK and :lovestruc it!!
I also think your girls would like the bird show (I can't remember what it is called) at AK as well, if they like birds. It's quite interactive and funny. Your kids can also meet some of the birds and their handlers after the show.

Festival of the Lion King in AK. Hands down my favorite show in all of WDW.
Beauty and the Beast in DHS.
Turtle Talk with Crush in Epcot.
Philharmagic in MK.

I'm not all that crazy about the Finding Nemo show. I've seen it twice, and while the costumes and music are very good, the show as a whole bored me. I asked DD if she wanted to see it on our next trip and I was happy when she said no. If you've never seen it and you can fit it into your schedule, then go. But I'd recommend you see the Lion King show over Finding Nemo.

MK - The Castle Show and Wishes
Epcot - The fountain in FW (not a show technically, but it is to us), O'Canada, The American Adventure, Illuminations
DHS - Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Little Mermaid, Fantasmic
AK - Finding Nemo the Musical and Festival of the Lion King

Festival of the Lion King is my absolute FAVE show! It is amazing!!

I am in the minority here I think but I didn't like Nemo. It was ok but I wouldn't be sad if we skip it on our Sept trip.

Not a Minority, we didn't care for either, was ok, but wouldn't go again, a beautiful theater.. but show just ok...

Favorites are : Lion king AK
Beauty and the Beast HS
Little Mermaid HS
Philharmagic MK

OK heres my list, but 1 thing Have we all forgotten, FANTASMlC??? LoL

MK: Although your kids are a lil small & it'll probably be boring for them...I love Hall of Presidents ( Talk about getting the American spirit)
MK: Mickey's philarmagic,
EP: Turtle talk will def. be fun for your kids. I personally love the Players (Streets in UK). Performers do the Holy Grail sketch..Hilarious!!!
HS: Beauty & the beast. No doubt. Haven't missed it ever..Your kids may also enjoy, Raiders of the lost ark...Awesome... Lights,Motor,Action, maybe not so much. although it's a great show.
AK: W/out a doubt Festival of the lion king, & nemo too...If you have time Birds of prey is pretty good as well.

& once again don't miss fantasmic..LoL

And I thought I was the only Disney fan who wasn't a fan of Lion King (the movie)! But I have to second this opinion - I saw FOTLK for the first time in Feb and really enjoyed it! It's theatre in the round with audience involvement (I was in the "Lion" section that got to roar), and the performers are awesome, the "Tumble Monkeys," fire dancer, aerial ballet - I'd say it's a definite must-see.

Now, as I expected, I LOVED the Nemo musical, but I know there are split opinions of it. I think most kids would prefer Lion King because they probably already know the music, it's more interactive, and it's shorter.

-The Magic, Memories and You light show on the castle at MK was so astoundingly beautiful, it made me cry. It is followed by Wishes, which makes it just perfect
-Fantasmic
-Philharmagic
-The Festival of the Lion King - a feast for the eyes, and wonderful music
-Turtle Talk w/Crush
-Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory
-The movie at the American pavilion (forgot the name, but it was great)
-Hall of Presidents
-American Idol at DHS
-The Muppet movie at DHS

DD age 9 puts Turtle Talk, Monsters Inc., Philharmagic, American Idol and Fantasmic at the top of her list.

We saw some good shows at Universal, but that's for another thread.
