What are the Best SHOWS to see?

If your kids are into Disney JR then you need to see the DisJR show in HS. It's a puppet show but it has Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Handy Manny and Little Einsteins in it.

The Lion King Show at Animal Kingdom is fantastic and if you can manage to get at the end of a row in the front half of any section your children may be lucky enough to be chosen to take part.

My daughter took part many years ago and she still smiles about it now and she is nearly 21.

I have not done Fantasmic in years, but will make sure i do on my trip in Oct.

Beauty and the Beast! It's been my favorite since I was a kid and I still love it. The theater gets full too so it's a good idea to get there a little early. I just love all the singing and dancing :)

Little Mermaid at DHS is also a great show and we usually do that last right before we leave the park

I'm sure everyone will have different answers here.

#1) Animal Kingdom, Festival of the Lion King. It BLEW me away!

#2) Animal Kingdom, Finding Nemo. I cried, really lol

#3) Disney Hollywood Studios, Lights Motors Action, it is a great show, especially if you have little boys. Pretty entertaining for the um BIG boys too lol.

#4) Disney Hollywood Studios, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, the effects make the show!

#5) Magic Kingdom, Philharmagic. In my opinion, the best 4D presentation in all of Disney World.

#6) Magic Kingdom, Monsters Inc. It is pretty funny. First time, I was half asleep, they put me up as the guy who doesn't think this is funny lol.

Also agree with all, though if I were ranking I'd put the MK shows ahead of the DHS. Nemo is better than Little Mermaid, but your daughters will love LM. I also cried at Nemo. I think my expectations were low for Nemo... I was not expecting such wonderful live singing and the sets are amazing... so I was really wowed. Lights, Motors, action thrilled my boys, but you should definitely prioritize Beauty and the Beast if time is a factor. I unfortunately missed Beauty and the Beast at DHS, but have heard raves.

My must do shows would be

MK: castle show, wishes fireworks
DHS: Beauty and the Beast, Fantasmic
AK: Festival of the Lion King, flights of wonder
Epcot: the fountain
Any of the entertainment you see around WDW

Mickey's Philharmagic at MK is fantastic -- we see it on every trip.

Festival of the Lion King at AK also had my kids just in awe.

American Idol at DHS is fun and I went in with no expectations (was really just going in as a filler, and for some AC). I don't watch the TV show, but had fun, and my kids LOVED the voting buttons -- brought out their inner power mongers!

Liked and would recommend the Indy Jones show at DHS. Lights Motors Action is another story though -- we thought it was a dud (and all my kids are boys and one is car/motor obsessed, but still not enough to like that show).

Festival of the Lion King in AK. Hands down my favorite show in all of WDW.
Beauty and the Beast in DHS.
Turtle Talk with Crush in Epcot.
Philharmagic in MK.

I'm not all that crazy about the Finding Nemo show. I've seen it twice, and while the costumes and music are very good, the show as a whole bored me. I asked DD if she wanted to see it on our next trip and I was happy when she said no. If you've never seen it and you can fit it into your schedule, then go. But I'd recommend you see the Lion King show over Finding Nemo.

:thumbsup2 With the addition of the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in MK.
I was a little bored in Finding Nemo, as well, but I try never to miss the Festival of the Lion King.

Love Fantasmic! I refuse to miss the show and recommend it to just about everyone who visits.

Love Philharmagic, as well.

Beauty and the Beast at DHS is very good.

Silly as it might seem, we also really love to watch King Arthur and the Holy Grail by the World Showcase Players in Epcot.

The VERY first thing we did in 2007 7-day trip was to see the Monster's Inc show, and my husband, who does NOT Like being the center of attention, was called on to be "that guy." The kids thought it was a riot, and didn't let him live it down for the rest of the trip.

1. Festival of the Lion King at AK (DO NOT miss this one, it's wonderful)
2. Mickey's Philharmagic at MK
3. Finding Nemo at AK (kid #1 (16) LOVED it, I really enjoyed it, kid #2 (14) hated it, she found the puppeteers onstage creepy)

None of us were all that impressed with the Bug's Life show at the Tree of Life in AK. Getting poked in the back wasn't my favorite part of the day.

We didn't see any other shows, so I can't give an opinion.

If I only had time to see one show (not including fireworks and such that end the day at the park you happen to be in) it would probably be Festival of the Lion King...it's awesome! The Finding Nemo musical was super cute too, though, and comes in as a close second (Beauty and the Beast was really good too, and is certainly worth seeing) .

I didn't even think of the Monsters Inc show! I was the mind reading bit, my teen daughters thought it was a riot.

How often do are the shows offered?

Will we be able to get some type of schedule at our resort so we don't miss them due to ADR's, etc?

Another vote for Beauty and the Beast. It's a GORGEOUS show!

A close second for me is Festival of the Lion King. Also amazing!

And my apologies to anyone who sat next to me at either show...... I can't help but sing along..... :rotfl2: Fortunately it's louder in my head than in real life....... :rotfl:

I love so many of them. I think Festival of the Lion King at Animal Kingdom is probably my favorite. I also love the Finding Nemo musical (also at Animal Kingdom) and the Beauty and the Beast stage show at Hollywood Studios. I think Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Hollywood Studios is the weakest. That's the only one that I would recommend skipping, really.

Festival of the Lion King in AK

Beauty and the Beast in DS

The Main Street thing (on Main Street, in the morning) when they do the Main St. Welcome Medley is one of my favorite Disney things.

Carousel of Progress is kind of a show...and I love it.

Indy is OK...DS

Turtle Talk with Crush and the Laugh Floor are both nice for kids.

I don't really consider Mickey's Philharmagic a show. It's a movie. It is a good movie, as is It's Tough To Be a Bug.

Era: I had to add this. My favorite show in Orlando is Blue Man Group. It's at Uni and you have to pay for it, but it's wonderful.
