What are the best dinner entrees at CRT & Akershus?

Looking for opinions on what the best adult dinner entrees are at CRT & Akershus. Thanks for your help!

how funny you posted this ~ i was just wondering the same thing! I've been to CRT and but it's been a few years. I want to be sure to get my 2 credits worth, lol.

We ate at both CRT and Akershus last week.

We were at CRT for lunch, but I think the dinner menu is similar. I had Major Domo's Short Rib. For all the bad reviews I've read of CRT's food, I was very surprised. It was really, really good...it was very tender and flavorful. My husband had the fried chicken, which wasn't typical fried chicken...it seemed more baked than fried. He said it was OK, but was jealous of my entree.

We had dinner at Akershus another day. My husband had the pasta mentioned by another poster, and he said it was the best meal he had during the entire trip. I had the pork loin and thought it was good but nothing super special.

At CRT for dinner, I had the fried chicken and DH had the beef tenderloin. We both thought they were very good. I enjoyed the chocolate mousse for dessert. Oh, and the cheese plate appetizer was delicious.

We only ate breakfast at Akershus, so I can't help out there.

DH and I really enjoy the beef tenderloin at CRT and I really enjoy the sampler dessert platter. I have to agree that the cheese plate app is really good too.

As for Akershus we only go for breakfast (the best on property IMHO), I have way too many picky eaters in my family to go for lunch or dinner.

Akershus we have only gone for breakfast. At CRT my DH and I both started with the shrimp:

the beef tenderloin:

I had the stuffed chicken breast:

DD had the seafood pasta:

and I finished with the:
trio

DH had the sugar free sorbet:

At Akershus I would third the mushroom pasta but will say the BEST part is the cold board buffet. The pickled herring, the lox, the smoked goat cheese that tastes like slices of caramel, the various salads and meats are great!!

I had the salmon at Akershus - it was one of the best meals of the trip!

My husband and I had the salmon and it was good (not as good as at 1900 Park Fare or Boma but good). My teenage daughter had the mushroom pasta and she loved it.

I liked the pork chop at akershus!

I had the salmon at Akershus and thought it was one of the best meals I had while I was there. I got the fish at CRT (can't remember what it was...something I had never heard of before) and liked it as well.
