We'll be staying at BCV for the first time on an upcoming trip. I was wondering if there are certain room locations I should request upon check-in? Any suggestions/advice or pros/cons of certain locations would be greatly appreciated? Thanks!

You should make your room requests now by contacting member services. Don't wait until check-in.

Things you can request include smoking/non-smoking; handicap access; near/away from elevator; upper/lower floor. Have them noted in the order of importance to you.

We just returned from the BCV and stayed in a two bedroom overlooking the quiet pool. The bonus was it was located on the ground floor and the kids enjoyed being able to go to the pool via the balcony/patio. Like having a pool in your backyard!

I don't really think there is a bad view. If you get an upper floor facing the quiet pool, you may see more of the parking lot, but the trees hide it fairly well. You can see a few of the Epcot and MK fireworks from some of the upper rooms as well, but the rooms where you can see the Epcot fireworks are also facing the road, and some people have complained about road noise. The quietest rooms should be facing the Beach Club, overlooking the "yard". The higher your room number, the farther from the BC you are. I had a room in the 70's and it was a long walk at the end of the day.
